Harry Potter and the Cursed Child unearthed many revelations but none were as shocking as the introduction of Lord Voldemorts daughter, Delphini. The young Dark witch, nicknamed Delphi, was the product of Voldemorts romantic relationship with Bellatrix Lestrange. Heres how Voldemorts only known spawn fits into Harry Potter canon.
Delphi made her franchise debut in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the two-part play that debuted on Londons West End in 2016, with the script later being published for readers worldwide. The witch pretended to be the niece and caretaker of Amos Diggory, the father of Cedric. Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy then teamed with Delphi to steal a Time-Turner to bring back Cedric. Delphi had ulterior motives and put the young wizards in great danger. It wasnt until Harry, Draco, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron tried to rescue the boys that they realized Delphi was actually Voldemorts secret daughter. When Harry disguised himself as Voldemort, Delphi admitted that Bellatrix was her mother.

J.K. Rowling cant seem to leave the Harry Potter world alone, making continuous changes to the canon as we know it. Here are the most recent.
The fact that J.K. Rowling keeps changing Harry Potter canon after the fact has become somewhat of a running joke on the internet. Whether its new canon in the Fantastic Beasts films, facts on Pottermore, or random things being revealed by Rowling herself on Twitter, it seems hard to escape these new canon facts.
Even for some of the most diehard Potter fans, the continual addition of new information, some of which changes what was already established as canon, can feel frustrating. Some people feel it would be better if J.K. Rowling let her work stand on its own for a while instead of continually adding to the lore, while others enjoy learning more about the world and their favorite characters. Many of her changes have caused controversy, too, as people feel she is trying to add diversity to her stories that wasnt really there.

Harry The Flawed Parent
The boy who endured hardships past count and even sacrificed his own life to defeat Lord Voldemort, the most powerful Dark Wizard the world has ever seen, still has some pretty significant drawbacks. While we dont see him as a parent to either James or Lily , we do get to see how he treats Albus, the only child who exists on a different wavelength from his father .
Ultimately, it is in his budding friendship with Draco that Harry finally realizes the truth of his relationship with Albus. There are two underlying reasons for why father and son seem to continually butt heads: firstly, more than the seemingly perfect James, it is Albus who is the most like Harry, which accounts for a great deal of the friction. Secondly, it is Harrys own desire to rewrite his past in order to correct for his present and Albuss future that has unwittingly placed a great deal of extra stress on the boy.
Once realized, Harry is able to see a path forward for reconciliation. But, first, there must be a cataclysmic confrontation in order to make this possible.

How To Watch Harry Potter Movies Online
In the US as of May 2021, as well as being able to rent or buy the Harry Potter movies on services like Amazon, theyre all streaming on the Peacock service. At the time of writing, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban are available to stream for free with ads, while the rest are behind the paywall. From June 1, all eight movies are available to stream on HBO Max again, too.
In the UK, you cant currently stream the movies, but you can rent them on Amazon, iTunes and more. The complete Harry Potter series is also available on Blu-Ray.
The Fantastic Beasts movies arent currently streaming in the US or the UK.
So There Are Two Parts
Yes, and if you want to see both parts , it’s a bit complicated. On Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays you can see a matinee performance of Part One and an evening performance of Part Two. One ticket secures you the same seat for both Part One and Part Two on the same day.
On Thursdays, there’s evening performances of Part One and on Fridays, evening performances of Part Two. If you see Part One on a Thursday evening, you’ll automatically be booked into Part Two the following Friday evening.
If you don’t fancy seeing both parts over consecutive performances, you can choose to see Part One on a Thursday at 7.30pm and book Part Two on an alternative Friday at 7.30pm at a later date.

Draco Dealing With The Differences
The phrase chip off the old block definitely doesnt feel relevant for Draco and Scorpius who seemed to have entirely different sensibilities from each other. While Draco spent his student days being cruel to Harry, scheming with Crabbe and Goyle, and relying on his own influential father Lucius whenever he needed a step up at school Scorpius championed geekiness, books and kindness. While still being sorted into Slytherin like his dad, and rocking a very similar blond hairstyle, the similarities between the two seem to be external rather than internal. And when Scorpius makes friends with Harry Potters son, Draco is initially livid that his own son has sided with his former enemy.
When Scorpius loses his mother, and Draco loses his wife Astoria, the pair seem to drift even further apart.

Much like Harry and Albus, it took a couple of near-death experiences and the disruption of the entire wizarding world timeline for Draco to be able to truly see his son for what he was. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
In the fifth book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the Ministry of Magic has been waging a smear campaign against Harry and Dumbledore, disputing their claims that Voldemort has returned. Harry is made to look like an attention-seeking liar, and Dumbledore a trouble-maker. A new character is introduced when the Ministry of Magic appoints Dolores Umbridge as the latest Hogwarts’ Defence Against the Dark Arts instructor . Because the paranoid Ministry suspects that Dumbledore is building a wizard army to overthrow them, Umbridge refuses to teach students real defensive magic. She gradually gains more power, eventually ousting Dumbledore and seizing control of the school. As a result, Harry’s increasingly angry and erratic behaviour nearly estranges him from Ron and Hermione.
Rowling says she put Harry through extreme emotional stress to show his emotional vulnerability and humanitya contrast to his nemesis, Voldemort. ” a very human hero, and this is, obviously, a contrast, between him, as a very human hero, and Voldemort, who has deliberately dehumanised himself. And Harry, therefore, did have to reach a point where he did almost break down, and say he didn’t want to play any more, he didn’t want to be the hero any more and he’d lost too much. The Warlocks Hairy Heart
The story is about a young and handsome warlock who decides to never fall in love, so he uses Dark Arts to prevent himself from doing so. His family, hoping he will change, does nothing. However, one day, he hears two servants whispering about him not having a wife, so he decides to find a talented, rich, and beautiful witch and marry her to gain everyones envy.
He meets that girl the next day. Though the girl is both fascinated and repelled, the warlock persuades her to come to a dinner feast at his castle. During the feast, she tells him that she needs to know he has a heart. The warlock shows her his beating hairy heart inside a crystal casket in his dungeon. The witch begs him to put it back inside himself. After the warlock does so, she embraces him. However, being disconnected from its body for so long, his heart has developed savage tastes as it has degenerated into an animalistic state. And so he is driven to take by force a truly human heart. He tears out the witchs heart to replace his own, but finding that he cannot magic the hairy heart back out of his chest, he cuts it out with a dagger. Thus he and the maiden both die, with him holding both hearts in his hands.

Harry Potter And The Half
In the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry enters a tumultuous puberty that, Rowling says, is based on her and her younger sister’s own difficult teenage years. Rowling also made an intimate statement about Harry’s personal life: “Because of the demands of the adventure that Harry is following, he has had less sexual experience than boys of his age might have had.” This inexperience with romance was a factor in Harry’s failed relationship with Cho. Now his thoughts concern Ginny, and a vital plot point in the last chapter includes Harry ending their budding romance to protect her from Voldemort.
This book also focuses on the mysterious activities of Harry’s rival Draco Malfoy. Voldemort has coerced a frightened Malfoy into attempting to kill Dumbledore. During a duel in Moaning Myrtle‘s bathroom, Harry uses the Half-Blood Prince’s spell, Sectumsempra, on Malfoy, who suffers near-fatal injuries as a result. Harry is horrified by what he has done and also comes to feel sympathy for Draco, after learning he was forced to do Voldemort’s bidding under the threat of his and his parents’ deaths.

The Eighth Instalment Of The Popular Series Takes The Form Of A Script With The Play Version Being Staged At Londons West End In Two Parts
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, billed as the the eighth instalment in the wildly popular series, was out in bookstores across India at 11:30 am on Sunday. The date of the release, July 31, marks the birthday of the title character. The book is a departure from the series tightly woven novel form, and is actually the script of a new two-part play staged at Londons West End, set 19 years after Harry Potter defeats Dark Lord Voldemort.
The story, written by original author JK Rowling, playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany, follows Harry, now 37, an employee at the Ministry of Magic and a father of three children. It prominently features a surprising friendship between Harrys son Albus and Scorpius, the son of his school nemesis Draco Malfoy, among other revelations. The highly anticipated play has opened to rave reviews in London, five years after the final movie in the series came out. The last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was released in 2007.
According to PTI, the book had the highest preorders any hardback ever in India. The trade orders are over 1.7 lakh copies and we were sold out last evening, said Thomas Abraham, Managing Director of Hachette India.

All Of The Changes From Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child added quite a few canon details that were a lot. One of the most out there changes from this screenplay was the addition of Delphini, the daughter of Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange. This detail was one that many people scoffed at. Other changes from the screenplay included showing more about the next generation of the Potter, Weasley, and Malfoy kids as the play focuses on Albus Severus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy.

The New Magical Status Quo
Author J.K. Rowling has had ample time to fill everyone in on what the cast of the Harry Potter books has been up to in the intervening 18 years , thanks to the likes of interviews with the press and short stories that have periodically popped up over at her site, Pottermore. And then of course there’s also the epilogue in the last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which is set in the year 2017, when Harrys second son, Albus Potter, finally gets his chance to head off to Hogwarts.
Whats interesting about Cursed Child is how thoroughly it changes everything we thought we knew: Hermione Granger is minister of magic, Harry is the head of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry, Ron Weasley is the proprietor of Weasleys Wizard Wheezes, Ginny Potter is the sports editor of the Daily Prophet, and Minerva McGonagall is still the headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. What hasnt changed, of course, are the characters marriages and children: Harry and Ginny have James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna, while Rose and Hugo Granger-Weasley are the offspring of Ron and Hermione .

Harry And Draco’s Blossoming Friendship
When Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy disappear from the Hogwarts Express on the way to their fourth year, Harry, Ginny, and Draco are beside themselves with worry and recriminations against the other. Its more than just old tensions bubbling up to the surface again its also the fact that Draco has a single-minded obsession with Harry officially refuting the persistent rumors of Scorpiuss true parentage, and Harrys growing concerns over what he perceives as some sort of Death Eater resurgence .
The resulting tensions reach their crescendo, but then, when both individuals are forced to admit the mistakes theyve made as parents and in trying to protect their sons from the pressures and cajoling of the outside world, they find themselves reaching some sort of understanding that has always eluded them. When Malfoy makes the very tender confession that he was always jealous of the friendship Harry had with both Ron and Hermione Crabbe and Goyle were always lackeys, not comrades it seals the new deal. Harry and Draco, at long last, become honest, genuine friends, with their children leading the way in this new familial relationship.

But What About All These Tweets And Pottermore Posts Are They Canon
So the body of work of an author is, by definition, canon whether or not readers like it or agree with it. But what is the body of work? Slughorns Trophy Wife mentions theme park rides and video games while Emily at Rose Read explores all other bits of information Rowling has given us through the years from interviews to Tweets to Pottermore.
Here I do not consider things like video games and theme park rides to be canon. Giving other people rights to your work so they can sell stuff does not mean you are giving them artistic authority. However, I do not see why an author providing material in forms other than traditional publication makes their work less valid. Why should Rowlings writings on Pottermore be taken less seriously than they would have been if she had published them in an encyclopedia format as was first suggested? Why should her words hold less weight on Twitter than they would if she bound them in paper and sold them at a bookstore?
