Will There Be A Harry Potter 9 Movie

Dementor On-Board | Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

As of the time this article is written, there is no talk about a continuation of the Harry Potter franchise in the movie format.

J.K.Rowling has published a drama called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which takes place in the future with the main characters being children of the original franchises main characters, namely Harrys and Dracos sons.

However, another movie covering the original book series most likely wont happen since the original cast has spoken up on a few occasions that despite their love for the franchise they cannot deny that it has affected their career and made it difficult to break out of the Harry Potter roles.

Costume And Set Design

Cuarón wanted to establish a more mature tone in the characters’ costumes and the sets. He explained, “What I really wanted to do was to make Hogwarts more contemporary and a little more naturalistic.” He studied English schools and noted, “Each teenager’s individuality was reflected in the way they wore their uniform. So I asked all the kids in the film to wear their uniforms as they would if their parents weren’t around.” Columbus considered the costumes changes as “a reflection of the character development within the books themselves” and their transition to teenagers. Whereas in the first two films the characters are constantly in their uniforms, in Prisoner of Azkaban the characters often wear modern street clothes. Rowling, who had to be consulted on this change, stated, “for me the cloaks and everything makes sense for the academic time but in personal time they would be wearing their own clothes.” joined the film as costume designer, also working on all of the following instalments in the series.

Some sets were either reused from earlier films or used for more than one space. The Defence Against the Dark Arts and Divination classrooms were filmed in the same set. The Honeydukes set was a redress of the set of Flourish & Blotts that was seen in Chamber of Secrets, which, in turn, had been redressed from the Ollivanders set from the first film.

What Harry Potter’s Cast Has Done Since The Movies Ended

The main cast of Harry Potter is reuniting to celebrate the saga’s anniversary, but what have they done since the movies ended? Let’s take a look.

The main cast of the Harry Potter franchise will reunite for an HBO Max special to celebrate the sagas 20th anniversary, but what have the actors done since the Harry Potter movies ended? The fantasy genre has seen a variety of universes with their own mythologies, and one that earned a special place in the hearts of readers and viewers is the Wizarding World. Readers all over the world were introduced to it in 1997 in J.K. Rowlings debut novel Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, the first entry in a series of seven books chronicling the story of the boy who lived and Lord Voldemort, the darkest wizard of all.

The Harry Potter saga turned Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint into some of the biggest teen stars, and even the sagas most experienced actors benefitted from the success of the movies as they became known to a new generation of viewers. Now, two decades have passed since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was released and ten years since the saga closed with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, but what has the main cast of Harry Potter done since the movies came to an end?

‘harry Potter And The Half

As Hogwarts’ shady Potions Master Severus Snape, the late Alan Rickman is one of the franchise’s enduring highlights, and he particularly had some hefty material to play in the sixth film. Voldemort’s got the wizarding world in a tizzy, Harry falls in love and finds a mysterious textbook, and “Half-Blood Prince” conjures one of the best and most impactful endings in the whole series.

You’ll need to wait until April 15, 2022, to watch Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. Most of the original cast returns, including Eddie Redmayne as Newt, Dan Fogler as Jacob, and Jude Law as Dumbledore. But Johnny Depp is no longer playing Grindelwald — that role has been recast with Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen. Depp reportedly had filmed one scene for this film before Warner Bros. asked him to resign .

The film itself is set in the 1930s, and leads up to the Wizarding World’s involvement in World War II. It’ll also move on from the previously known wizarding communities in the US and UK and show magical life in Bhutan, Germany and China.

Where to watch Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore: The film is scheduled to be available in theaters on April 8, 2022, in the UK and Ireland, and on April 15, 2022, in the US, and to stream on HBO Max 45 days after its theatrical debut.

Evanna Lynch Made Some Of Luna Lovegoods Jewelry

One of the Harry Potter costume designers, Jany Temime, previously told Insider that actress Evanna Lynch helped craft a lot of her characters jewelry.

In particular, Lynch made Lunas famous beaded, radish-shaped earrings herself.

It was an excellent collaboration, Temime recalled. She was a very clever kid to work with.

Good: He Was Good At Lifting Others Up With Encouraging Words

Harry was the member of the trio who was often best at lifting the other two up with his words. He often encouraged Ron that he was smart and capable, and this was especially true with Rons insecurities about Quidditch.

He was Rons biggest supporter in this. He also often told Hermione how impressive and smart he was. Being willing to support his friends in this way was a great strength.

In The Prisoner Of Azkaban Movie Why Was There No Stag At The Scene After Harry Went Back In Time And Saved Himself

In the movie, we can see a stag on the other side of the lake.

Shortly after, white light comes out of it and chases away the dementors.

However, in the ‘future’ scene, there is no stag whatsoever.

I know a stag is Harry’s Patronus, but why did it appear on the screen beforehand and later on, we can only see ‘future’ Harry himself casting the charm – we see the scene from different perspectives for over 40 seconds, however, there is no stag on any of them.

Was ‘present’ Harry hallucinating?

  • It doesn’t happen the same way in the novels, so I would say it was a director’s decision to make the scene more impactful
  • Jakub CisowskiAug 8 at 18:01
  • No definitely not, it would have been awesome seeing Harry react to the stag from the other side fezAug 8 at 18:50

He wasn’t hallucinating as the observer. The movie was slightly inconsistent with this detail, showing only pulsating light representing his patronus the second time. If anything you can call it a continuity error or a lack of precision in particularity.

The book illuminates things better:

And then he feints.

Later in the book, but only just, he travels back in time with Hermione and fulfills his role as the caster.

Either way, this isn’t a question that’s been asked to producer, screenwriter, director, or whoever on the crew staff would know, or published online AFAIK.

I believe this is done this way to bring focus to Harry, in this situation.

The Ministry Hires Them As Prison Guards

The Ministry of Magic has committed blunder after blunder, as any political entity tends to do, but one of the worst decisions it has made is keeping the Dementors in Azkaban

Interestingly, several witches and wizards have attempted to stop inflicting Dementors on human beings, even Ministers for Magic, after observing how the scales of justice are tipped unfairly against the prisoners. It was denied for the longest time, largely because the magical community believed that the evil beings would hunt innocent people if their diet is restricted.

What Happens When They Kiss

The dreaded Dementor’s Kiss occurs as a last resort: these fiends grab onto the face of their unfortunate prey and suck out their literal soul. After Barty Crouch, Jr.’s experience with the Kiss, he was turned into a blank piece of paper, with nothing left behind in the broken husk that was once his body.

The question, however, is where does the soul go? Is it digested? Isn’t it supposed to be this indestructible that can only be shattered by cold-blooded murder? And Dementors can eat it?! Horrific.

The Ending Of Harry Potter Finally Explained

For millions across the globe, the Harry Potter book and film series was the closest thing they’d ever come to experiencing actual magic. The journey of the young wizard, from a stowaway orphan who lived under the stairs at his cruel aunt’s home into the prophesied hero who defeated the world’s darkest villain, was nothing short of epic. The final installment of the story was as complex and at times bleak as it needed to be, to wrap up seven chapters’ worth of sorcerer storytelling.

So, to make sure you caught everything important there at the end, let’s shed a little lumos light on everything that happened in the conclusion to the Harry Potter saga.

In order to cast a corporeal Patronus that is, a solid one that can charge down Dementors you have to think of a happy memory and shout Expecto Patronum. Harry manages to create something approaching a Patronus pretty quickly, but its an indistinct attempt. Yet hes not deterred. Exhausted and half-wanting to hear his parents again, Harry is still determined to master it, returning again and again to practice with the Boggart-Dementor.

This determination is something Harry has shown before. In Philosophers Stone, he set out to get to the Stone before anyone else, joined by Hermione and Ron only after he held forth about the importance of fighting Voldemort. In his motivation to fight the Dementors, he also shows a long-standing emotional resilience.

Harry acknowledges his desire to hear his parents even despite the impact it has on him he cries when he hears his father for the first time. In Philosophers Stone, Dumbledore said to Harry of his mother:

While Harry could be great at encouraging and complimenting his friends, he also had moments where he lashed out at them unfairly. Harry went through a lot of trauma from a young age, so his inability to process and control his emotions makes complete sense. However, there were times where it was frustrating for fans to see him get angry at Hermione and Ron over things that werent their fault.

In ‘the Sorcerer’s Stone’ You Can See Mcgonagall’s Name On The Quidditch Trophy Right Next To James Potter

Seeing Hermione soothe Harry’s Quidditch anxieties by showing him the name of James Potter, his dad, on an old Quidditch trophy is an emotional plot point in “The Sorcerer’s Stone.”

However, you may not have noticed that Professor McGonagall’s name also appears on the trophy. The date shows that McGonagall earned her award in 1971 when she was a Hogwarts student, which doesn’t actually make sense considering she appears as a Hogwarts professor in “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” which was set in 1927.

Special And Visual Effects

Industrial Light & Magic and Framestore handled the key visual effects shots for the film, while The Moving Picture Company, Cinesite, and Double Negative crafted additional VFX material.

Cuarón originally wanted to move away from CGI toward puppetry. He hired master puppeteer Basil Twist and experimented with underwater puppets to figure out the movements of dementors. The tests were shot in slow motion, but ultimately the method wasn’t practical. The water test footage provided creative direction for the visual effects team, adding the intangible metaphysical quality Cuarón was seeking. Visual effects supervisors Tim Burke and Roger Guyett, the Industrial Light & Magic VFX team, and Temime collaborated in the creation of dementors.

Cuarón commented on the difficulty of creating Buckbeak, which took months of research and preparation, beginning with the creature’s skeletal design. Cuarón said, “Once we worked out the physiology, the way his bones would actually move, we had to capture his personality, which is a mixture of regal elegance, particularly when he is flying, and the clumsy and greedy creature he becomes back on land.” Creature effects supervisor Nick Dudman created several practical hippogriffs for the production, while Burke and Guyett oversaw the creation of the computer-generated version. Guyett cited the complex movement of the feathers as an achievement that had “never been done before.”

Warning I Will Be Speaking About Depression For This Specific Post

Hello everyone!

Welcome to my first blog post! Throughout my time as a blogger, Ill be switching between movie theories and psychological analyses of things and/or characters within movies. In this post, Ill be doing a psychological analysis of a creature in the Harry Potter Universe called a dementor. It is a more well-known analysis considering the author herself revealed that it was true, but I wanted to start with something more people would have a chance to know the background information about. I do want to put a warning here in the beginning, I will be talking about depression in this post so if you arent comfortable reading about that subject, I wont be upset if you leave. I hope you find it as interesting to read as I did to research .

Here is a little introduction to dementors for those who arent very familiar with the books and movies. Dementors are among the foulest creatures that walk this earth. They infest the darkest, filthiest places, they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope and happiness out of the air around them . During the war towards the end of the series, they allied with Voldemort because he spreads despair, which is what they feed off of .

I hope that was entertaining, insightful, and you werent bored! Thank you so much for reading my first post, with luck theyll only get better from here!

Suffering Soul Sucking Succotash

In an interview, J.K. Rowling expressed the origin of the Dementors. She said they derived from a time in her life when she was severely depressed. They are an embodiment of the absence of hope, joy, and cheerfulness, the feeling of internal, spiritual deadening. What a miserable and deplorable conception.

In the movies, they glide across the floor resembling the grim reaper with black hoods and robes and a skeletal physique. Their presence literally freezes the air around them and sucks the light out of the room. If there are more than one, it is that much more chilling and darkening. They force their victims to relive their worst memory. When they came close to Harry and nearly suck the life right out of him, he described it as the most horrific sensation of his life. He could hear his parents being murdered by Voldemort. If one were to stay near a Dementor too long, they would leave them an empty husk of a human, a meat sack, with no emotions or soul. Essentially turning one into another version of themselves. If that is not reason enough to wipe them out, the Ministry really has to reevaluate its priorities.

Fantastic Beasts 3 is set for release on July 15 2022.
