Vernon Dursley and Harry Potter

Harry Potter has returned to the Dursleys for the summer holiday in mid-1992, and things are very bad for him. Over the summer, the Dursleys have become so fearful of Harry’s new-found magical abilities that they have locked away all of Harry’s magical supplies immediately after his arrival home. They have also banned Harry from saying words such as “magic” in the house, as evident in Uncle Vernon‘s outburst at breakfast. This has become a problem for Harry himself, who begins to worry about what his teachers at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will think if he heads back to them without back homework done, and whether or not he’ll be banned from the Gryffindor House Quidditch team since he has not been able to practise. The only thing the Dursleys let him keep in his room, however, is his pet snowy owl Hedwig, but have put a padded lock on her cage to keep her inside day and night to avoid suspicion from the neighbours. This does not go well for the bird, because every time she has become bored, her screech has rung throughout the house, causing an irritated Vernon to warn Harry that if he cannot control her, she will have to go.

How The Scene Made Sense For The Future Of Hermione And Ron’s Relationship

As explained by;Seventeen, Chris Columbus tried to work around things by making Watson hug Radcliffe and shake Grint’s hand instead.;Watson was even embarrassed to hug Radcliffe for a long time, so their hug had to be frozen for a few seconds longer than it actually was for it to appear more realistic on-screen.;The actress has since opened up on;how nerve-wracking it was to film that scene with everybody on set watching. About quickly hugging Radcliffe, Watson said that her arms “barely touched around his neck.”

The result of the scene actually ended up working perfectly for the storyline of Ron and Hermione, since fans of the “Harry Potter” books and films well know of the underlying feelings that both characters have for each other. Hermione even ends up marrying the adorable, endearing redhead at the conclusion of the magical series. If you’re a true Romione fan , you’re up to speed on everything that happens throughout their relationship.;

As we are well aware, adapting books into movies is extremely challenging and things are often altered in the process.;Despite some of the major changes;that had to be made to fit within the restrictions of filming the second “Harry Potter” movie, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” still holds up today, and rewatching that Great Hall scene brings us such joy.

Harry Potter Movies In Chronological Order

Here’s how to watch the Harry Potter movies in chronological order not including any movies in the works, like the three more planned Fantastic Beasts prequels. We know that the series will end with a duel between Albus Dumbledore and former BFF-turned-nemesis Gellert Grindelwald in 1945, but everything in between is currently a mystery. Below, we decided to just include everything Harry Potter-related that it’s possible to watch right now including the stage play, The Cursed Child.;

  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
  • Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone
  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
  • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Note that outside the US, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is known as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.;

Aside from the occasional flashback, the Hogwarts-set movies in the series follow a simple linear structure mostly thanks to Rowlings decision to use the British school calendar as a framework for her narrative. That means each of the seven books in the Potter series focus on a different school year , starting in 1991, when Harrys 11 years old.;

  • Harry Potter Hbo Series

    Rumors of an HBO Harry Potter;TV series;have been doing the rounds for quite some time, and while there doesnt appear to be anything concrete, there still remains a high possibility that this could happen, given the unwavering popularity of the franchise, from the ongoing success of the books and films to new films in the form of Fantastic Beasts spin-offs and theme parks and video games and so on.

    Of course, none of that is actual evidence. But whether it does or doesnt happen, this has very little to do with Harry Potter in films. Right? Not necessarily. Look at the success of The Mandalorian not only has it resulted in the greenlighting of several other live-action Star Wars;shows, but also upcoming movie projects such as Star Wars:;Rogue Squadron.

    Should a Harry Potter TV series ever come to light, though, its not known exactly where along the timeline the show would be set. Those rumors suggest that it will take place during Harry Potters time at Hogwarts, but this would be tricky to navigate, seeing as the show would have to keep the likes of Harry, Ron, and Hermione off the screen .;However, lets not forget that The Mandalorian operates close enough to the original Star Wars trilogy, and so far hasnt failed to bring back some original characters, such as fan-favorites Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker.

    Are The Harry Potter Movies On Peacock Or Hbo Max

    Wait, didn’t Peacock have the Harry Potter movies? Or was it HBO Max? Yes, both did ;for a time.

    HBO Max streamed the Harry Potter movies when it launched last summer. See, WarnerMedia owns the Harry Potter film franchise. However, the corporation sold the broadcast and cable rights to NBCUniversal, which owns Peacock. But WarnerMedia borrowed them back ;likely for a hefty fee ;so that its new streaming service could launch with some big titles.

    Then, the Harry Potter movies moved to Peacock, where they will stream on and off through 2021. They may return to HBO Max for a limited run, as well. And then who knows what will happen in 2025, when NBCUniversal’s TV rights lapse.

    As writer Jess Mason joked on , “Harry Potter is like the child of a divorce where the parents are Universal and Warner Bros and the franchise just keeps being pulled to different homes.”

    So many streaming services, all fighting over the same valuable IP.
