But that doesnt stop this from being, as you might expect, the darkest book in the series. From the corrupting influence of a locket that causes Ron to abandon his friends, to the tragic prophecy that Harry uncovers through more of Snapes past memories, this book truly tests the readers tolerance for beloved characters in distress.

Onto the series that everybody fell in love with years ago, the first film adaptation of the famous book series came in 2001 with;Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,;retitled;Sorcerer’s Stone;for American;and Indian audiences.

The problem is that Albus, Harry Potters middle child, hasnt actually started school yet. The Battle of Hogwarts takes place May 2, 1998. Albus, as well as Rose Granger-Weasley and Scopius Malfoy, is said to start school 19 years after that date, which means he wont take start Hogwarts until Sept. 1, 2017. His older brother, James Sirius Potter, started in 2015 while his younger sister, Lily Luna Potter, wont have her first day at Hogwarts until 2019.
With over 8 million followers, Rowling was quickly informed of her mistake and deleted the message. She blamed her incorrect math on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the play that was released this year and;follows Albus as he starts Hogwarts.
Theyve done me so proud, Rowling said in an interview for the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child ;page. I think our giveback is that we really hope to take this play to as many places as its feasible to take it. So I hope a lot of them will get to see this play in due course.

Albus and Scorpius steal a Time Turner with Delphi Diggory to save Cedric Diggory after he won the Triwizard Tournament an event that takes place in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
2020: Albus and Scorpius use a time turner to travel back to 1994 and prevent Cedric Diggory from completing the first round of the Triwizard Tournament. When they return, they realise they’ve created an alternate timeline in which Ron and Hermione never married and thus Rose doesn’t exist. Albus has been sorted in Gryffindor instead of Slytherin.
Albus and Scorpius return to the past again to stop Cedric completing the second task, and return to find Scorpius is now alone because in their alternate timeline, Voldemort killed Harry and won the Battle of Hogwarts .
In this alternate timeline, Cedric became a Death Eater who eventually killed Neville Longbottom, therefore Neville never killed Nagini, Voldemorts final Horcrux. Dolores Umbridge is headmistress, and Snape is still alive.

Harry has now spent two years at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and is looking forward to the third year. But after a small incident where he blows up his cousin, Dudleys aunt, Aunt Marge, Harry storms off from Privet Drive. He takes an adventurous bus to Diagon Alley.
He is surprised to find that he hasnt been expelled from school for underage magic and in fact everyone is relieved to find that he is safe. He later finds out that Sirius Black, considered to be Voldemorts most loyal follower, has escaped Azkaban, and is looking for Harry to murder him.
No wonder everyone was relieved to find Harry alive and not in the clutches of the prisoner of Azkaban. At school, Harry meets Professor Lupin, one of his dads old friends and also their teacher for Defence Against the Dark Arts. Through the course of the book, we discover that Professor Lupin is actually a werewolf , Sirius Black is innocent and Rons rat, Scabbers is actually Peter Pettigrew , one of his dads supposed friends who turned to the dark side.
Hermione and Harry use a Time-Turner to save Sirius Black. Harry is really looking forward to living with Sirius Black, who he gets to know is his godfather! But that will have to wait until Sirius is proven innocent. Peter Pettigrew, who can prove that Sirius is innocent, escapes and the opportunity is lost.

Apart from the fake Galleons enchanted by Hermione for Dumbledore’s Army, there are a few other methods of closed-channel communications used in the books and films. Subjects painted into wizarding portraits are frequently used to carry messages between locations where their portraits hang. Phineas Nigellus is used to send messages between Dumbledore’s office and his other portrait in Grimmauld Place. Hermione takes Phineas from Grimmauld Place during Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and uses Phineas to obtain information about events at Hogwarts. Dumbledore also uses two other former headmasters in a similar fashion when Arthur Weasley is attacked by Nagini in the Ministry of Magic. A portrait is also seen carrying messages between the Minister for Magic and the Muggle Prime Minister in the opening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Another form of closed communication used in the books and films is a set of mirrors which belonged to Sirius Black. Sirius gives Harry one mirror in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, with a note explaining to Harry that Sirius and James Potter used to use the mirrors to talk to each other when they were put in separate detentions. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry uses a shard of his broken mirror to call for help from the Malfoy’s cellar, and later finds out that Aberforth Dumbledore had been watching over Harry using Sirius’ mirror, which he obtained from Mundungus Fletcher.

Harry Potter was born in the same year as his cousin, Dudley Dursley, with Harry’s birthday falling on July 31st, while Dudley was born on June 23rd.
