  • What To Watch After the Harry Potter Movies Order Lists
  • The Man With Two Faces

  • In the book, Voldemort kills Quirrell by leaving his head, causing him to die. In the film, Harry kills Quirrell by grabbing his face, causing him to turn to dust.
  • In the book, when Harry touched Quirrell, Quirrell’s skin blistered wherever Harry touched. In the film, when Harry touched his hand, Quirrell’s hand turned to stone and crumbled. Also, when Harry grabbed his face, it made his whole body demolish and Voldemort escaped. This is what knocked Harry out.
  • In the book, Harry Potter is unconscious when Quirinus Quirrell dies, while in the film, Harry watches Quirrell die. This creates a plothole with his ability to a see a Thestral in the film version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, since Harry could not see Thestrals until he saw Cedric Diggory die. This could also be due to the film being released before the Order of the Phoenix book was published, and so the film crew wouldn’t have known about what would happen in later books.
  • Poppy Pomfrey is omitted but there is an unknown nurse who appeared before Albus Dumbledore took a bite of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans. The unknown nurse could be Poppy Pomfrey being played by an uncredited actress in a non-speaking part.
  • Once again, Nicolas Flamel’s wife Perenelle is not mentioned when Harry asked about Flamel dying.
  • In the book, Hagrid gives Harry a of his family at the hospital while in the film version, he gives it to him at the end of term when about to board the Hogwarts Express.
  • Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them Set In 1926

Set over sixty years before the events of the main Harry Potter series of movies, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them presented fans of the franchise with a fair amount of hope for its future.

Taking place in New York, with a British Hufflepuff main character, the movie does not reach the heights of most main Potter films, but retained its own magic and got fans excited for what was to come from this prequel franchise. These expectations quickly got dashed, however.

    What Parents Need To Know

Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets at The Genting ...

Parents need to know that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the first movie in the Harry Potter series, has some intense and scary moments. Harry Potter and friends — who are only 11 years old here — are in peril and get hurt, but not seriously, and most of the scares come from fantasy creatures. There’s a flashback to the death of Harry’s parents and discussion about how they died and the one who killed them.

    The Half Blood Prince: Won

The Half-Blood Prince marks the first movie where the characters really get involved in romantic relationships. For Ron and Hermione, this means that Hermione actually asks Ron to go to the Slughorn Christmas party with her, and for a moment it seems that this could be the start of something. However, it all goes wrong when Ginny tells Ron that Hermione had kissed Krum in the past – at which point Ron gets extremely jealous and upset.

Ron starts going out with Lavender Brown after he becomes a star Quidditch player, and spends all his time snogging her publicly and with the pair cooing pet names at each other. Hermione, furious, attacks Ron with a flock of magical canaries, and the two stop speaking. In the end, though, when Ron is poisoned, it is Hermione that he asks for as soon as he wakes up, and his relationship with Lavender comes to an end, leaving Ron and Hermione still not official, but clearly interested.

    Special And Visual Effects

Visual effects took nine months to make, until 9 October 2002, when the film was finished.Industrial Light & Magic, Mill Film, The Moving Picture Company , Cinesite and Framestore CFC handled the approximately 950 visual effect shots in the film. Jim Mitchell and Nick Davis served as visual effects supervisors. They were in charge of creating the CG characters Dobby the House Elf, the Basilisk, and the Cornish pixies, among others. Chas Jarrett from MPC served as CG supervisor, overseeing the approach of any shot that contains CG in the film. With a crew of 70 people, the company produced 251 shots, 244 of which made it to the film, from September 2001 to October 2002.

The visual effects team worked alongside creature effects supervisor Nick Dudman, who devised Fawkes the Phoenix, the Mandrakes, Aragog the Acromantula, and the first 25 feet of the Basilisk. According to Dudman, “Aragog represented a significant challenge to the Creature department.” The giant spider stood 9 feet tall with an 18 feet foot leg span, each of which had to be controlled by a different team member. The whole creature weighed three quarters of a ton. It took over 15 people to operate the animatronic Aragog on set.

Ron and Hermione are a controversial couple in the Harry Potter franchise, with many fans furious that the two end up married with children in the final scene. Even J K Rowling has said that she regrets the pairing, and plenty of fans think Hermione should have ended up with Harry – or perhaps met someone as an adult! The Goblet Of Fire: Jealous Over Other Crushes

Eddie Redmayne has revealed his favourite Harry Potter ...

Ron and Hermione’s relationship seems defined by jealousies almost from the start but it’s not until The Goblet of Fire that this really starts to become an issue. Here, Ron finally gets around to asking Hermione out – but only does it as an insulting afterthought, and is turned down.

He ends up incredibly jealous of Victor Krum, who takes Hermione to the dance, despite the fact that he was a huge fan of Krum’s before this. Hermione has her own moments of jealousy here too, getting upset at Ron’s reactions to the Veela at the Quidditch World Cup, but it’s Ron’s jealousy that really makes it obvious that he’s got a secret crush on his friend.

Differences Between Philosopher’s Stone And Sorcerer’s Stone Films

    • Five different takes were necessary to replace the words Philosopher’s Stone with Sorcerer’s Stone in the American version of the film. When the two DVDs were compared side by side it was noticed that in every case but one, only a slight difference in synchronisation was noticed. The most noticeable difference was when Hermione was reading from the book she had taken out of the library for a “bit of light reading”. The words on the page were changed from Philosopher’s to Sorcerer’s and her fingers, while straight in Philosopher’s they are bent in Sorcerer’s .

Harry’s first Christmas at Hogwarts is a happy one. Its the first time that he gets a few presents of his own, the best of which is a magical heirloom left by his father. He also gets a few other things like a rusty coin from his aunt Petunia and a dazzling sweater from Mrs. Weasley.
