That Infamous Deathly Hallows Moment Wasnt Planned
Chances are you know exactly what that means but well set the scene up for you anyway.
Toward the end of Deathly Hallows Part 2, Voldemort returns the grounds of Hogwarts to reveal to everyone that he killed Harry while Harry, unbeknownst to Voldemort, survived the attack. Having been separated prior, Dracos mom Narcissa called for Draco to come over to herand to the side of the Death Eaters. When he did, Voldemort gave him a very uncomfortable but highly memorable hug.
A couple months after Part 2s release, Felton addressed the hug at DragonCon. According to his recollection, he and Ralph Fiennes filmed around 25 takes of that scene. Out of all of those takes, only one included the hug it was a one-off thing Fiennes did. And as strange as he found the moment, he was even more surprised that it made the cut.
Its really interesting because theres definitely a difference with the audience, how they take it. In England, its considered a very chilling moment, a very sort of, the whole audience goes quiet and they dont know what to say or do. Over here , its hilarious.

Taking Care Of Astoria
Many years before ever Astoria Greengrass was born let alone married Draco Malfoy, an ancestor of hers was cursed with a blood malediction. After several generations of the curse remaining dormant in the Greengrass family, it resurfaced within Astoria. Her body was unusually frail because of the curse and her health declined even more after giving birth to Scorpius.
Draco did his best to take care of his wife and give her all the care she needed during this time period. Fortunately she survived long enough to see her son off at Platform 9 3/4 for his first year at Hogwarts. She passed away during Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, before Scorpius began his third year at Hogwarts.

He’s Actually A Powerful Wizard
Though it may seem like Harry Potter always comes out on top, it is often overlooked how powerful of a wizard Draco Malfoy really is.
Though Draco’s intentions aren’t as pure as Harry’s, he is often just as skilled.
There are plenty of instances where Draco proves his worth as a wizard. One of Draco’s most impressive skills is Occlumency – the act of closing one’s mind to Legilimency. In simpler terms, keeping someone from penetrating your mind and thoughts. Draco was skilled enough to keep Professor Snape out of his mind, which is no easy feat. Draco also kept Madam Rosmerta under the Imperius curse for quite some time, forcing her to do his bidding to and from Hogwarts– another instance where he shows he not only knows a spell, but has mastered it.
Getting His Wand Back
When Draco used his hawthorn wand to disarm Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Draco became master of the Elder Wand. This meant that when Harry “won” Draco’s hawthorn wand from him in Deathly Hallows, Harry became master of the Elder Wand.
This led to Harry using the hawthorn wand to defeat Voldemort. Fans know what became of the Elder Wand and that Harry used it to repair his wand with the phoenix feather core, but they didn’t know what happened to the hawthorn wand that once belonged to Draco. A that J.K. Rowling used to promote Harry Potter and the Cursed Child showed that Draco’s wand in the play is made of hawthorn. This indicates that Draco has his old wand again. Since Harry has his old wand back, he has no need for the hawthorn one anymore, meaning he gave it back to Draco.

The Malfoys Slippery Family History Goes Back Generations
It didnt take long for Harry to notice the extent of the Malfoy familys influence and how Draco were able to weasel their way out of almost any situation. A Key Weapon Presented Itself
The Sword of Gryffindor had been an instrumental tool in destroying horcruxes throughout Harry Potter lore. Dumbledore used it to destroy the Gaunt family ring. Harry retrieved it from the frozen lake, after it presented itself to him, and Ron used it to destroy the locket that was causing his buddy so much mental anguish. Despite knowing its powers, Harry offered the sword to Griphook in exchange for him helping them get into Bellatrix Lestrange’s vault at Gringotts, and he made good on his end of the bargain.
Griphook returned to villainy soon after, though, and left Harry and his friends in a lurch, by abandoning them in the vault caverns with no promise to get them out. Hermione, always with a clever idea up her gown sleeve, led the trio to ride a dungeon-bound dragon out of the bank, with Griphook perishing in the fiery skirmish that ensued. The sword then disappeared from his grip, to present itself to a more worthy pair of hands.
Later on, when Hermione and Ron were back at Hogwarts trying to lure Nagini away from Voldemort, to destroy what was one of the final remaining horcruxes, the Sword presented itself to Neville Longbottom by way of the Sorting Hat, so he could slice the snake’s head off and give Voldemort one last crucial blow before he did his ultimate battle with Harry. Unlike other weapons of its ilk, the Sword knew no master, and simply chose whoever was worthiest at the time. And few were more worthy than Neville.
Draco’s Wand Says A Lot About His Inner Feelings
As Ollivander says in the series, “the wand chooses the wizard,” and there seems to be a deeper meaning behind Draco’s hawthorn wand.
According to a 2015 essay Rowling , hawthorn wands are “most at home” with a witch or wizard who is conflicted or in a moment of turmoil.
The unicorn hair core of Draco’s wand is also the “most difficult” to turn to the dark arts, per Rowling, which may explain why he couldn’t get himself to kill Dumbledore in his greatest moment of inner turmoil.

Adding Books To The Malfoy Manor Library
As Scorpius had a reclusive childhood, living in Malfoy Manor without the opportunity to interact with other children his age, he spent a lot of time reading books. While it doesn’t sound like he was able to indulge in anything as exciting as The Monster Book of Monsters, he did say he read books that helped him learn about the Wizarding world, the Second Wizarding War, and Harry Potter.
It stands to reason that Draco added many of these books to the Malfoy Manor library. Books about the Second Wizarding War didn’t exist when Draco grew up there as the war hadn’t started yet or was in progress. Many of these books inevitably highlight the atrocities committed by Voldemort and the Death Eaters in a deservedly negative light, something Lucius and Narcissa wouldn’t have had in their home. They also wouldn’t have had books about Harry Potter, their master’s greatest enemy. If Scorpius was going to have a largely isolated childhood, at least Draco added books to the Malfoy Manor library that could educate his son about the outside world before he went off to Hogwarts.
Draco Came To Hogwarts More Prepared Than Most
Harry Potter included the fateful convergence of Harry, Ron, and Hermione on their very first trip on the Hogwarts Express, but given the series viewpoint of Harry, it wasnt able to showcase the inverse: the students who already knew friends and classmates before they ever set foot on that train.
Draco already knew other young wizards well before he went to Hogwarts thanks to the many connections of his father Lucius. Having grown up after Voldemorts downfall, Lucius would hang with other former Death Eaters who bemoaned how Voldemort failed, some of whom had children Dracos age. Those meetings led Dracos friendships with Theodore Nott and Vincent Crabbe, who would become one of Dracos closestin proximity, at leastfriends and henchmen.
Gregory Goyle, however, became Dracos friend and henchman in the same way that the trio did: a chance meeting on the Hogwarts Express.

Personality Of Astoria Greengrass
No doubt, Astoria was very pretty and remarkable. She had pale skin with bright blue eyes. Her eyes were so attractive that no one could resist looking into her eyes. She had dark brown hair that added more value to her personality. Her height was also average. She was very creative and always used to see beauty in every other thing around her.

How Did They Meet
