Where To Buy Harry Potter Studio Tour Tickets
If you are making your own way to the Harry Potter studios, you have to buy your ticket in advance from the official website. You cannot turn up without a ticket, and tickets are not for sale on site.
Tickets go on sale well in advance, but despite the site having capacity for up to 6,000 people a day, they tend to sell out far in advance, so you will want to plan as far ahead as possible.
The summer months, weekends, and school holidays are the busiest days of the year for the Studio so we recommend that you book as far in advance as you can if you are visiting over those periods.
Weekdays often have better availability, so if you are flexible, look at different days of the week to maximise your chances of getting a ticket.
Tickets are for timed entry, which helps the studios manage visitor numbers throughout the day. Whilst there is no limit to how long you can stay after you enter, you do need to enter the attraction at the time you book. There is a little bit of flexibility in this, but its best not to show up hours later than your time to avoid disappointment.
The WB Studios Tour folks recommend you arrive at the site at least 20 minutes before your ticket time so you can go through the security checks.
If you cant buy a ticket from the official site, dont worry, you still have lots of options.

A visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London really is a must see experience. Step on to authentic sets, discover the magic behind spellbinding special effects and explore the behind-the-scenes secrets of the Harry Potter film series. Discover the iconic Hogwarts Great Hall and explore the Forbidden Forest, see the glittering spectacle of Gringotts Bank all before boarding the original Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 ¾ and wandering down Diagon Alley.
The latest attraction to arrive at the Studio in 2022 was Professor Sprout’s Greenhouse .
The tour itself is a walking tour that on average takes around 4 hours. Warner Bros. Studio Tour is not a theme park and as such will not feature rides, or experiences of this nature.
The attraction gives visitors a chance to go behind the scenes of the actual sets of the Harry Potter film series. Only a small part of the Studio Tour is guided so you can take the tour at your own pace.
As well as the impressive sets, you will also discover hundreds of costumes, props and animatronics that bring to life the incredible skill and effort involved in creating the much loved films.
Some parts of the tour are interactive and can be touched, some sections can be viewed and not touched.

Visit The House Of Minalima
This was one of my very favorite London Harry Potter stops! This amazing Harry Potter Museum dedicated to the art and graphic design behind the props in the movies was incredible! Think about all the props that required graphic design or artwork in the movies like food and cleaning products, newspapers, Harrys acceptance letter from Hogwarts, posters, signs, books, the Mauraders Map etc.
The designs are all done by Mina and Lima, who are incredibly talented artists and designers. At the House of MinaLima you can purchase postcards, books, signed prints, and your very own letter to Hogwarts!
MinaLima also designed some incredibly beautiful interactive classic childrens books, including The Secret Garden, The Little Mermaid, The Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, and Alices Adventures in Wonderland, which you can purchase there, but they are much cheaper online. They have popups, removable items, and beautiful illustrations! Ive added all of these to my personal library and they will be something to pass down to my grandchildren. Absolutely gorgeous!

Run Through Platform 9 3/4
Perhaps one of the most famous Harry Potter London sites, Platform 9 3/4 located at Kings Cross station is where Harry ran through the barrier to board the Hogwarts Express before his first year of school! You can visit the actual barrier where the scene was filmed, but there is also a trolly photo opp where you can get your photo taken with scarves, wands, and all!
IMPORTANT: The line for Platform 9 3/4 can be extremely long! I once waited in it with 11 children for an hour and a half. I thought the other people waiting were going to kill me by the end ! It was so worth it to get our awesome photos. But there is a much easier way to do this now!
You can purchase this special VIP lanyard online BEFORE your trip that will allow you to go to the front of the line and also gets you a professional photo. This lanyard must be shipped to you, so order it several weeks before your trip. The lanyard costs £15 each.
Be sure to visit the Harry Potter shop at Platform 9 3/4. You can find some fun souvenirs and Harry Potter paraphernalia. And see if my friend with the Deatheaters mark is still there!

Reptile House At The London Zoo
The London Zoo is a nice way to spend a few hours on a London family vacation. Its located in scenic Regents Park and as such it blends into the surroundings here well. The Reptile House is well marked and where the scene from Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was filmed where Harry learns through dialog with a Burmese Python that he can speak parseltongue.
Tip: The ticket lines here can be really long. Buy tickets in advance or save a little bit by bundling attractions with the London Pass or London Explorer Pass.
