Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone
Harry first appears in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Starting in 1981, when Harry was just one year old, his parents, James and Lily, were murdered by the most powerful Dark Wizard, Lord Voldemort . He attempted to kill Harry too, but was unsuccessful and only left a lightning bolt shaped scar on Harry’s forehead. Voldemort’s body was destroyed, but his soul was not. Harry later learns that the reason why he survived was that his mother sacrificed herself for him, and her love was something that Voldemort could not destroy.
According to Rowling, fleshing out this back story was a matter of reverse planning: “The basic idea Harry … didn’t know he was a wizard … and so then I kind of worked backwards from that position to find out how that could be, that he wouldn’t know what he was… That’s… When he was one year old, the most evil wizard for hundreds and hundreds of years attempted to kill him. He killed Harry’s parents, and then he tried to kill Harryhe tried to curse him…. Harry has to find out, before we find out. And for some mysterious reason, the curse didn’t work on Harry. So he’s left with this lightning-bolt shaped scar on his forehead, and the curse rebounded upon the evil wizard who has been in hiding ever since”.

Charlotte Rampling As Minerva Mcgonagall
McGonagall is as stern as she is loyal, and presenting that on film isn’t an easy feat. To be likable, but also intimidating? That’s a tough job for an actor, no matter how talented they may be. Still, even though Maggie Smith more or less owned her portrayal of McGonagall, there is one other actress who could tackle the role just as well. Yes, the interpretation would differ in translation, but when you consider the kinds of roles that this Oscar-nominated actress has pulled off in the past, casting her as McGonagall is as close to perfect as one could hope to get. There’s a sort of hidden fragility to her, heavily masked with this very lived-in, stoic maturity. If that’s not Minerva McGonagall to a T, then we don’t know what is.
He Witnesses Cedrics Death And Voldemorts Resurrection

Helena Bonham Carter Played Bellatrix Lestrange
Dark witch Bellatrix Lestrange was played by Helena Bonham Carter.

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
In the fifth book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the Ministry of Magic has been waging a smear campaign against Harry and Dumbledore, disputing their claims that Voldemort has returned. Harry is made to look like an attention-seeking liar, and Dumbledore a trouble-maker. A new character is introduced when the Ministry of Magic appoints Dolores Umbridge as the latest Hogwarts’ Defence Against the Dark Arts instructor . Because the paranoid Ministry suspects that Dumbledore is building a wizard army to overthrow them, Umbridge refuses to teach students real defensive magic. She gradually gains more power, eventually ousting Dumbledore and seizing control of the school. As a result, Harry’s increasingly angry and erratic behaviour nearly estranges him from Ron and Hermione.
Rowling says she put Harry through extreme emotional stress to show his emotional vulnerability and humanitya contrast to his nemesis, Voldemort. ” a very human hero, and this is, obviously, a contrast, between him, as a very human hero, and Voldemort, who has deliberately dehumanised himself. And Harry, therefore, did have to reach a point where he did almost break down, and say he didn’t want to play any more, he didn’t want to be the hero any more and he’d lost too much. And he didn’t want to lose anything else. So that Phoenix was the point at which I decided he would have his breakdown.”

David Oyelowo As Kingsley Shacklebolt
One of the unfortunately underused characters in the Harry Potter films is Kingsley Shacklebolt. The man who would eventually become Minister for Magic, Shacklebolt was never given nearly as much room to shine as he deserved, seeing as he was one of the more efficient and skilled Aurors who worked for the ministry. So, were a remake to ever become an actual thing, the best chance at giving him some genuine room to breathe would be to cast someone who could just as well read the phonebook and still make it compelling which is to say, David Oyelowo should get the part. Having masterfully portrayed Dr. Luther King Jr., Oyelowo has a particular energy in his calmness that evokes every ounce of badassery that Kingsley Shacklebolt has the potential to project.
Carey Mulligan As Lily Potter
Harry Potter’s parents don’t get an awful lot of time on either page or screen, but their characters are still the backbone to the story. Without them, there’d be no Harry Potter after all. Obviously. So, it only makes sense to give justice to the characters by casting actors who already stand out seeing as the main credo among most actors is that “there are no small parts.” So, for Lily, the woman who singlehandedly saved Harry Potter, there are few actors more suitable for the role than Carey Mulligan, a soft-spoken, but strong woman imbuing the sort of gentle ferocity that has always been the most notable characteristic within Lily.

Michael Caine As Albus Dumbledore
There are really only a handful of British actors who could pass for an “old, charming wizard” who haven’t already taken on that sort of role before. So, it’s only natural that Michael Caine should have a go at it. Still, that’s not to say that he wouldn’t make a perfect Dumbledore. He’s soft-spoken, genteel, and has the kindest eyes on this side of the Atlantic. What’s more is that he may as well have auditioned for the role already when he starred in Alfonso Cuarón’s Children of Men back in 2006. Cuarón also directed Prisoner of Azkaban just a few years prior, and when you take a look at how he dressed up Caine in the role, it makes you wonder if he had second thoughts about not casting Caine in Dumbledore’s role when he had the chance. His appearance is a dead giveaway.

When Muggle-born students are suddenly being Petrified, many suspect that Harry may be behind the attacks, further alienating him from his peers. Furthermore, Harry begins to doubt his worthiness for House of Gryffindor, particularly considering he discovers he shares Lord Voldemort’s ability to communicate with snakes via Parseltongue. In the climax, Ginny disappears. To rescue her, Harry battles Riddle and the monster he controls that is hidden in the Chamber of Secrets. To defeat the monster, Harry summons the Sword of Godric Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat supplied by Dumbledore’s pet phoenix, Fawkes. Ginny Weasley Already Shares A Connection With Lord Voldemort
Ginny Weasley is a literal thunderstorm, and that’s putting it lightly. Her bright and spirited nature encourages her friends and demoralizes her enemies, an ideal combination of attitudes for any protagonist. Though Ginny’s unyielding grit is said to be the result of growing up in a male-dominated household, it’s clear that her independent streak would have manifested regardless.
Ginny is unflappable in the face of danger and surpasses Harry in practically every sphere, including Quidditch and Dueling. In addition, she shares a connection with Lord Voldemort after interacting with his Diary Horcrux.
