Despite Being The Top Of Her Class Hermione Wasn’t Good At Everything
Hermione is known for being a brilliant student who excels in almost everything she tries. She was even called an “insufferable know-it-all” by Professor Snape.
But there are a few things Hermione wasn’t good at.
In “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” we learn that Hermione isn’t particularly skilled at Wizard Chess. In “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” we also see that Divination isn’t her strongest subject. And throughout the series, the young witch never really got the hang of flying on a broomstick.
Forcing Harry And Ron To Join Spew
Harry and Ron were pretty much Hermiones only friends during her time at Hogwarts and this meant they got stuck with a lot of her initiatives. Despite neither of them wanting to join, Hermione forced Harry and Ron to become part of S.P.E.W and they had to make others join the society as well.
While they never really made any attempts to comply, Ron and Harry were still considered official members of the group and accepted their initiation into it.

She Had No Friends During Her Muggle Life
You must have noticed that Hermione acted like a total loser in Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone before she became friends with Ron and Harry, and this was because she really was a complete loser.
She had absolutely zero friends in the muggle world before heading off to Hogwarts. In fact, Harry and Ron were her first friends ever. Hermiones neurotic personality when she was a kid ensured no one wanted to be friends with her and she had a very lonely childhood indeed. Good thing Harry and Ron, and even Hagrid, came along.

She Bosses Ron Around
Most of what we saw of Ron and Hermione during the Harry Potter novels was her bossing Ron around. Ron would generally be rather silly, but Hermione would mainly counter that by telling him what to do.
In times when they werent butting heads, Ron would follow whatever Hermione told him to do and their dynamic generally was just this. He never complained about it other than when he was annoyed by her. Looks like he didnt mind being the less dominant one in their relationship, so who are we to complain?
Emma Watson Hermione Granger
From child star to women’s rights activist, it’s easy to draw similarities between Emma Watson and the brainy and outspoken Hermione.
After finishing the Harry Potter films, Watson split her time between acting and academia, completing her bachelor’s degree in English literature at the prestigious Brown University in 2014.
Since then, she’s become a prominent advocate for women’s rights she became a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador in 2014 and later led the United Kingdom’s TimesUp campaign. Her work for gender equality saw her named as one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2015.
But despite her long list of activist accolades, Watson has still found time to act in a number of blockbuster roles, including as Belle in the 2017 adaptation of Beauty and the Beast and most recently as Meg in Little women.
In a move that would make Hermione herself proud, Watson also founded a feminist bookclub on Goodreads, encouraging thousands of women across the world to participate in discussions about gender equality.

Has A Habit Of Hitting Ron
Nowadays, with people all about debating gender equality, the idea that Ron might hit Hermione for menial reasons will spark outrage from everyone. But the flip side is the fact that Hermione really seems to love hitting Ron for no reason.
Whenever shes annoyed at Ron, Hermione takes it out on him by hitting him. This was most evident in the film version of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince where she smacked Ron with a book repeatedly for not caring about where Harry was.
The Films Exaggerate Her Abilities
While Hermione did play savior to Ron and Harry in the novels, they still did pretty well without her as seen in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. In the films, however, Hermione was pretty much the only reason the group survived. The filmmakers gave just about every useful trait Ron displayed in the books to Hermione this made her stand out so much that Ron looked like the plucky comic relief and nothing more.
Hermione would always be a step ahead of everyone and would even get the best lines compared to the others.

Jk Rowling Want To Pair Hermione With Harry
Rowling has a horrible habit of backtracking on her own decisions and publicly announce regret at making those decisions. The one that irked people the most was when she admittedshe didnt want Hermione to end up with Ron and had wanted to pair her with Harry.
When she saw fan interest was riding behind Ron and Hermione, Rowling incorporated this into her books and went with it. This means that Ron and Hermione are together only because of the fans rather than the authors initial plans.
Daniel Radcliffe As Harry Potter
Now a seasoned screen veteran, Radcliffe is 32 years old. The young actor was only 11 when he was cast as Harry Potter, and 12 when the first film, Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone, premiered in 2001. By the last film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Daniel was just a few days shy of his 22nd birthday.

Harry Potter: 25 Things Wrong With Hermione Granger We All Choose To Ignore
Harry Potter may be the main character, but Hermione tends to get most of the focus from fans. Except where it counts.
In the Harry Potter series, we had the Golden Trio. These three characters made Harry Potter what it was and without them there would be no series. While Harry was the main protagonist, he didnt have all the attributes that would have enabled him to take down Voldemort. His friends also got separate personalities and abilities that made them stand out in their own ways. Rivaling Harry in the best character polls is Hermione Granger. A sizable portion of the fandom consider Hermione to be the best character in the series due to her multitude of capabilities as well as her mature personality.
Hermiones star was made brighter after Emma Watson portrayed her in the Harry Potter film series as she was quite a looker and was very close in personality to Hermione Granger. While Harry and Ron have some people who arent fans of them, Hermione never has anyone dislike her. Shes seen as the most complete of the trio due to her hardly ever showing tendencies that would make her unlikable. All in all, if youre a fan of Hermione, youre nothing special because of all the Harry Potter fandom feels the same way about her.
Here are 25 Things Wrong With Hermione Granger We All Choose To Ignore.
Harry Potter And The Half
New Potions professor Horace Slughorn invites Hermione to join his “Slug Club”, and she helps Ron retain his spot on the Gryffindor Quidditch team when she casts a confund spell on Cormac McLaggen, causing him to miss his last save attempt during Keeper tryouts. Hermione’s feelings for Ron continue to grow and she decides to make a move by inviting him to Slughorn’s Christmas Party, but he romances Lavender instead in retaliation for his belief that Hermione had kissed Krum years earlier. She attempts to get even by dating McLaggen at the Christmas party, but her plan goes awry and she abandons him midway through the party. Ron and Hermione continually feud with each other until he suffers a near-fatal poisoning from tainted mead, which frightens her enough to reconcile with him. Following Dumbledore’s death, Ron and Hermione both vow to stay by Harry’s side regardless of what happens. A minor subplot in the book is that Hermione and Harry form a rivalry in Potions, as Hermione is used to coming first in her subjects and is angered that Harry outperforms her undeservedly by following tips and different instructions written in the margins of Harry’s potions book by the previous owner. Hermione is also the only one of the trio to successfully pass her Apparition test .

Bill And Fleur’s Wedding
Bill and Fleur get married in Deathly Hallows Part I. Notice who Hermione is with. Ron’s holding on for dear life, we think. The red dress is simple, with just a slight edge to it, due mostly to the fringing effect on the bodice and skirt. Viktor Krum is there too, much to the annoyance of a petulant Ron. Viktor and Hermione twirled around the floor. And she looked wonderful.
The wedding is, of course, broken up by what amounts to the beginning of the Second Wizarding War. The ministry has fallen and the Deatheaters are coming. Time for a quick exit.
Oliver And James Phelps: Now
We know what you’re thinking Fred and George Weasley have changed BIG TIME!
The twins, who dyed their hair red for years while filming the movie series, have now gone back to their natural dark colour.
The British actors host a podcast called Normal Not Normal, where they’ve interviewed big names like Karamo Brown, Mara Wilson, and their Harry Potter co-star Evanna Lynch.
They have a role as twins in the upcoming psychological horror flick Last Night in Soho.

Evanna Lynch Luna Lovegood
The eccentric Luna Lovegood only joined the franchise in the fifth film, but her character has endured as one of the most-loved of the series.
It’s the story of how Irish actor Evanna Lynch came to appear in the series, however, that has become the stuff of legend among fans.
From the age of 11, Lynch struggled with eating disorders and turned to the Harry Potter books as respite. She’s previously said the books were the only thing that could distract her from the illness
It was in this period that she sent a letter to the book’s author to thank her. Rowling responded, and the pair became penpals before she was ever considered for the role.
Recently she told Seven’s The Morning Show of the moment she got the call about her audition:
“You kind of can’t process something that big, so I just took it a step at a time, I went home and I actually did my homework.”
Post-Potter, she’s acted in a number of indie films and stage productions, while lending her distinctive voice to audiobooks, cartoons, and podcasts. She’s also founded a vegan and cruelty-free beauty subscription box.
Last month, Lynch released a memoir about growing up in the spotlight and her battles with eating disorders, titled The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting.
What Hermione From Harry Potter Really Should Have Looked Like
Given how ubiquitous the Harry Potter films have become, it’s hard to separate Emma Watson’s portrayal of the heroic Hermione Granger from the character that first came to life in the pages of J.K. Rowling’s magnum opus. Watson has basically become synonymous with Harry’s bookish BFF, though there will always be a certain subset of fans who never quite got onboard with the casting. The general complaint is that Rowling never intended Hermione to be as beautiful as the radiant Watson in fact, the author spent most of the series going out of her way to describe Miss Granger’s physically unappealing traits, emphasizing her priority on less skin-deep concerns.
This criticism isn’t without merit. If the casting directors over at Warner Bros. had stayed true to the letter of Rowling’s source material, we likely would have ended up with a different Hermione Granger. To get a better picture of what the real Hermione Granger should have looked like, we have to dive deep into the books. It’s all there for close readers to find.

Katie Leung Cho Chang
Leung played Harry’s first love interest and his first kiss and one of the few Asian Hogwarts students in the movies. The much-anticipated smooch earned her and Radcliffe a nomination for MTV’s Best Kiss award in 2008.
Since appearing in four of the Harry Potter movies, the Scottish-Chinese actor has gone on to complete degrees in painting, design, and photography while pursuing acting in theatre, films and on television.
In 2017 she appeared next to Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan in The Foreigner, playing Chan’s daughter.
Earlier this year she opened up about her teenage rise to fame, telling the Chinese Chippy Girl podcast she was subject to racist abuse online after appearing in the series.
Fighting The Cold And The Bad Guys
Our final look is Hermione in cold weather gear, with long sweater sleeves to warm her hand and a rather severe coat to keep the rest of her warm. It’s an extremely practical outfit and a long way from the Yule Ball. Deathly Hallows Part II culminates with The Battle of Hogwarts. It’s a close-run thing, but Voldemort is defeated.
The last scene in the film has Ron and Hermione taking their daughter Rose to catch the Hogwarts Express. The outfit she wears then is definitely momsy. So, we decided to skip it and end with the fierce warrior Hermione that we know and love. And respect.

James And Oliver Phelps
Not to take away Fred and George Weasleys’ individuality or anything but Ron’s twin older brothers and Hogwarts’ resident pranksters were indeed played by actual twins . They have since played twins in other films, including Our Own Worst Enemy and Last Night in Soho, directed by Edgar Wright, while James has done more acting on his own.
Another way to tell them apart: Oliver has been married to Katie Humpage since 2015.
The brothers remain as close as ever, though, and James was happy to report on June 25, 2020, that he had just beat Oliver on the golf course. They also host a podcast together called Double Trouble, and recently had sister GinnyBonnie Wright, that ison as a guest.
Harry Potter Stars Reunite For Tv Special: Today Shares A Look
In 2009’s “Creating the World of Harry Potter, Part 1: The Magic Begins” docuseries, Columbus explained that he and his team would use multiple cameras to get the scenes that they needed from Radcliffe and the other child actors.
It was important for me to always have a camera on one of them, in case one of them was coming down off of a chocolate rush, or they lost their energy, or they were getting tired, or they were looking into the camera. God knows there were a million things going on, he said.
And the key was, for cinematographer John Seale, was shooting multiple cameras because I never knew when the kids were going to deliver the performance that I needed, Columbus continued. So, if you look at the first film, you see its very cutting. In other words, we cut to a close-up of a kid and then I cut away to someone else. We were incapable of getting an entire scene in context.
So Johns philosophy of shooting three cameras basically helped me to obtain a performance here and a performance here, unlike any other way I would shoot a movie. Its almost documentary style and John really knew how to do that, and I had always admired his work and this was a really golden opportunity for me to work with him.
