Harry Potter Spells For Your Phone
Modern smartphones are a marvel of technological magic. Remember when our fifth-grade teachers demanded we put our calculators away because we, wouldnt have a calculator everywhere we went when we grow up?! Well, it turns out we do, along with a compass, level, speaker, typewriter, dictionary, encyclopedia, and a bevy of cat memes. Add to the smartphones repertoire a set of spells torn from the pages of J.K. Rowlings Harry Potter books.

iPhone Harry Potter spells arent just the PC Guide team stretching their nerdy wishes into their work, Harry Potter spells for iPhone are a real thing. If the recent HBO anniversary special taught us one thing, the majority of us appreciate the wizarding world and its brand of wand-wielding magic, although some of us would suggest real wizards use staffs. Just saying.
Is It Any Good
There are less expensive magic wand apps but none that offer as much authentic Harry Potter atmosphere as this one from the movie studio. The music, graphics and clipped English voice welcoming you to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry set the properly magical mood before you must delve into the serious business of learning your incantations and how to wave your device. Older teens might not be enchanted, but true Potter fans will have fun pretending, especially if there’s a similarly equipped friend they can invite over for a duel.

Find The Right Spot To Cast Your Spell
Inside the case of each interactive wand, there is a double-sided map that shows the different locations where you can do magic. At each spell location, you will find a bronze-coloured medallion embedded in the floor. The marker shows where to stand, which direction to face, as well as the correct wand movement to cast the spell.

Principal Exceptions To Gamp’s Law Of Elemental Transfiguration
The Principal Exceptions to Gamp’s Law of Elemental Transfiguration is a magical theory mentioned by Hermione and later repeated by Ron in the final book. She explains that food is one of these: witches or wizards can cook and prepare food using magic, and even multiply it, but not create it out of nothing. There are numerous examples in the series of food appearing to have been conjured from nothing, such as the sudden materialisation of ingredients in the pots of Molly Weasley’s kitchen and when Professor McGonagall creates a self-refilling plate of sandwiches for Harry and Ron in Chamber of Secrets. In all cases, these events can be reasonably explained as food either being multiplied or transported from elsewhere. One example of the latter is banqueting at Hogwartsâthe food is prepared by elves in the kitchens and laid onto four replica tables, directly below the actual house tables in the Great Hall. The food is then magically transported to the tables.
This is the only exception mentioned explicitly in the series. However, Rowling herself has stated once in an interview that money is something wizards cannot simply materialise out of thin air, or the economic system of the wizarding world would then be gravely flawed and disrupted. While the Philosopher’s Stone does permit alchemy, this is portrayed as an extremely rare, even unique, object, whose owner does not exploit its powers.

The Most Dangerous Harry Potter Spells
Voldemort and his Death Eaters favor Avada Kedavra, but some spells in Harry Potter could be considered even more dangerous than the Killing Curse!
There’s a spell for everything in the world of Harry Potter, from jinxes that prevent intruders from entering a property to healing spells that clear the throat of a choking victim. So vast is the range of spells in the magical world that the only tools witches and wizards need is a wand and their knowledge.
While most spells are used for the benefit of others or the greater good, there are spells that cause harm. Some spells are so dangerous that they’re very rarely used. However, with so many Death Eaters and other dark characters in the Harry Potter series, such spells aren’t as uncommon as one would think.
Hogwarts is always there to welcome fans back to their fictional home. It’s where Harry learned most of the incantations he knows when he ventures out into the world after his six years of schooling. Already rich with spells, hexes, and curses, the Harry Potter world continues gaining new magical additions, many of them dangerous. With new installments consistently being added to the ever-expanding Potterverse, the magical realm grows, too. Though magic can serve some positive causes, power is a hefty thing to wield and the wizarding world is a dangerous place.
Harry Potter Spells That Debuted Infantastic Beasts
With November 2016s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and November 2018s Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, J.K. Rowling came up with several new spells that should be considered canon. Here are the new spells we pulled from her screenplays, which were released concurrently with the movies.
Appare Vestigium: Tracking spell that materializes as a swirl of gold and shows traces of recent magical activity. Used by Newt to track beasts and Tina.
Avenseguim: Takes an object owned by someone and turns it into a way to track that person down. Newt used the spell on the feather from Kamas cap to find him.
Finite: A spell to counter Protego Diabolica. Used by Flamel and friends. Weve seen this one before, but not in this way.
Nebulus: Creates a swirling fog. Used by Dumbledore to stay under cover, descends over London.
Protego Diabolica: Creates a protective circle those who are truly on Grindelwalds side can walk through the flame. Notably, Rowling describes the flame twice as a black fire, but in the movie its blue.
Surgito: Removes a love enchantment spell. Used by Newt on Jacob to remove Queenies enchantment.
Papyrus Reparo: Repairs a torn up postcard.
Ventus: A spell to create a hurricane-force wind, used by Newt to repel the Auror Stebbins.

Look For The Secret Interactive Wand Spell Locations
The secret spell locations are different from the regular spots, in that there is no medallion on the floor to show you where they are. There is also not a specific spell or movement needed to make the magic happen.
We were able to locate all three of the secret spells, by asking some helpful witches and wizards we found at the regular spell-casting spots. Of course, our kids were more than eager to share the information with other kids they met along the way!

SECRET SPELL #2 Shop window of Slug and Jiggers Apothecary in Diagon Alley.
In the right-hand window, right side, theres a display of dragon dung. Wave your wand and the lid will levitate, and youll smell the not-so-sweet scent of this fertilizer used in Herbology class.

Prioritize Making Space On The Board
You may come across certain levels where there are multiple obstacles on the board that need spells to be dealt with. For example, one level will have a locked chest and feathers on it.
In these instances the game will ask you which spell you want to perform next. Whichever you choose will drain the spell meter, so to cast the other spell you will need to refill the spell meter.
It is a good idea to prioritize making space above anything else, so choosing Wingardium Leviosa in this case is the right choice because it will lift the feathers, making it easier to match more spell gems.

Is The Interactive Wand At Universal Worth It
Interactive wands are totally worth it! With 25 official spell locations between both parks, our 9 and 11-year-old kids were occupied for HOURS! Its definitely worth paying the extra $6 to get the interactive version of a wand.
And although the wands are a little pricey, they can be used during future visits as well. The wand magic actually lasts forever, as there are no batteries or need for recharging!
One of Miss Somersaults favourite spells REVELIO opened the Chocolate Frog box in the window of Honeydukes.
We would recommend against purchasing your interactive wands online. You may be disappointed with what you get. Instead, inspect and select your wand in-person at the parks, and you wont regret your purchase.
If you plan on returning to the Wizarding World, you can use your interactive wands again and again! And trust me, the kids used the wands with the same interest and fervour on each subsequent visit!
Can You Get A Wand Based On Famous Characters
If you prefer to emulate your favourite witch or wizard, Universal Orlando also carries replica wands from some of your favourite characters from the Wizarding World. Once again, these wands come in both interactive and non-interactive form.

From the infamous Expelliarmus to the lesser-known Muffliato, here are the ten easiest to spells to cast in the Harry Potter Wizarding World.
After reading or watching the Harry Potter series, nearly every person who was compelled by the story also dreamed of becoming a witch or wizard themselves. However, the wizarding world of Harry Potter doesn’t make things easy for the average witch or wizard. Yes, they’re gifted with magical powers, but they still have to learn how to use those magical powers and actually execute the spells and charms that are designed to achieve their particular aims. There are many spells in the Harry Potter world that are actually quite difficult to do properly and do well, but of course there are some spells that even the most inexperienced witch or wizard can pull off easily. And these are the 10 easiest spells to perform.
Study Of Ancient Runes
Study of Ancient Runes, more commonly known as Ancient Runes, is a generally theoretical subject that studies the ancient runic scripts. Because only Hermione studies it, little else is known about this subject, taught by Professor Bathsheda Babbling. In Deathly Hallows Dumbledore bequeaths his copy of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which is written in ancient runes, to Hermione.

While many people are only just becoming aware of phone spells following the Harry Potter reunion, it isnt exactly a new function. People have been able to use their voice automated systems to cast Harry Potter spells for years, but they didnt realize it.
The history of this feature is traced back to 2016, although its only recently going viral.

Complete List Of Harry Potter Spells
Our site is dedicated to the Wonderful Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and we list all of the Harry Potter spells that are included in the books! Please note: this list is only for the spells that appear in the booksit does not include all of the spells that appear in the Harry Potter movies. For that list, please check our other articles. If you find a spell that is missing, please contact us and we will add it!
As for how our Harry Potter spells are listed, we have broken them down according to several different methods. We have a list of the most frequently used spells, and then we have other lists that break them down according to their function. For instance, we have a list of defensive spells that you might use if you are being attacked, and we have spells that are simply useful, such as creating light so that you can see, or making things float so that they can be moved. The spells below are listed alphabetically, A-Z.
Use Small Wrist Movements Instead Of Waving Your Arms
In our experience, we have found that grandiose wand flourishing does not produce good results. Instead, its all in the wrist! Use smaller wrist movements, rather than waving your arms.
Make sure to stand straight, and carefully position yourself on the embedded bronze medallion. You need to be facing the spot the medallion is pointed at. Next, extended your arm, and make small deliberate movements with the wand.
Trust Professor Flitwicks advice! Casting spells are more in the movement than in the words. Your swish and flick is more important than saying Wingardium Levi-OH-sa, not Levio-SAA.

Care Of Magical Creatures
Care of Magical Creatures is the class which instructs students on how to care for magical beasts. Classes are held outside the castle. In Harry’s first two years, the class is taken by Professor Silvanus Kettleburn who then retires “in order to enjoy more time with his remaining limbs”. Dumbledore then recruits the gamekeeper Rubeus Hagrid to accept a teaching position along with his gamekeeping duties. Although Hagrid is obviously very experienced and knowledgeable, he doesn’t “have a normal person’s view of what’s dangerous”, an example being that the Care of Magical Creatures students were required to get a literally ferocious textbook called the “Monster Book of Monsters”, and so consistently misjudges the risk that the animals he uses in his lessons pose to his students, which sometimes results in chaos. When Hagrid is absent, his lessons are taken over by Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank, a witch and an acquaintance of Dumbledore’s.
How Do Interactive Wands Work
Ok, if you want to go on believing in the magic of Harry Potter, and the wands, you will need to skip over this section!
Really! We are totally about to burst your bubble! If you are sure, then
There is no such thing as magic! Interactive wands are considered passive devices. This means that there are no electronics inside. Instead, the wands are equipped with a rounded reflector tip that is used to interact with the sensors around the park.
Notice the tips of the wands? The wand on the right is and Interactive Wand. You can see the bubble at the tip that acts as a reflector.
In other words, the wand is able to reflect light back to a sensor that then tracks the movement of the wand. When a correct spell movement is detected, the system activates the display, and you have made magic happen!
Whenever you are at a spell-casting location, look for the sensor. The sensors are carefully camouflaged throughout the displays. Just look for 4 red lights in a square.
If you aim your interactive wand at the sensor, and keep your gestures small as the cameras area of reception is limited, you will have much better success with your spell. If you see the red lights on the sensor turn off, that indicates your spell worked!
The plus side of having a passive device, is no need to worry about dead batteries, or needing to charge your wands. As long as you take care of them, the wands will last a long time
