Bellatrix Lestrange Gets What She Deserves
Voldemort might be regarded as the most purely evil character in the Harry Potter series, but his right-hand woman, Bellatrix Lestrange, really gives him a run for his money. A slavishly loyal Death Eater who’s utterly devoted to her precious Dark Lord, Bellatrix does everything she can to serve Voldemort, and nothing not even torturing members of the Order of the Phoenix to the point where they go insane is beneath this incredibly vile yet powerful witch.
After murdering her cousin, Sirius, Bellatrix seems untouchable, but during the Battle of Hogwarts, she finally gets a taste of her own medicine. During the fight, Bellatrix appears to target Ginny Weasley , Harry’s on-again, off-again girlfriend, and just when it seems that Harry will reappear to fight for Ginny, the matriarch of the Weasley family, Molly , steps up, fighting Bellatrix in an intense duel. Ultimately, the sweet, jolly homemaker gets the upper hand, demolishing Bellatrix in one of the series’ most triumphant moments. Bellatrix’s death is incredible vengeance against this horrifying character, and watching Molly deal the final blow makes the entire moment all the more satisfying.
He Sacrifices Everything For Harry
Snape does everything in his power to protect Harry once he arrives at Hogwarts. Time after time Snape saves Harry’s life â the first time being when he mutters the counter curse that Quirrell puts on Harry’s broom. Then there’s the time when Harry assaults Snape with various spells after the Battle of the Astronomy Tower. Snape makes sure to block all of Harry’s spells, as well as order all the Death Eaters to flee to ensure Harry remains unharmed. He also gives Umbridge fake Veritaserum to use on Harry and withholds further assistance when she asks for more. He physically places himself in front of Harry, Hermione, and Ron to protect them from a recently transformed Lupin and sends his Patronus to guide Harry to the sword of Godric Gryffindor, too.
The list goes on and on. He may appear sneering and unbearable at times, but he always protects Harry without consideration for himself. Snape may have died on Voldemort’s orders, but it’s his devotion to protect Harry that ultimately leads to his untimely death.
Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone
Harry first appears in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Starting in 1981, when Harry was just one year old, his parents, James and Lily, were murdered by the most powerful Dark Wizard, Lord Voldemort . He attempted to kill Harry too, but was unsuccessful and only left a lightning bolt shaped scar on Harry’s forehead. Voldemort’s body was destroyed, but his soul was not. Harry later learns that the reason why he survived was that his mother sacrificed herself for him, and her love was something that Voldemort could not destroy.
According to Rowling, fleshing out this back story was a matter of reverse planning: “The basic idea Harry … didn’t know he was a wizard … and so then I kind of worked backwards from that position to find out how that could be, that he wouldn’t know what he was… That’s… When he was one year old, the most evil wizard for hundreds and hundreds of years attempted to kill him. He killed Harry’s parents, and then he tried to kill Harryhe tried to curse him…. Harry has to find out, before we find out. And for some mysterious reason, the curse didn’t work on Harry. So he’s left with this lightning-bolt shaped scar on his forehead, and the curse rebounded upon the evil wizard who has been in hiding ever since”.

Draco Malfoy Never Changes His Ways
Voldemort might be the series’ most intimidating and powerful villain, but Harry Potter is rife with bad guys big and small, including Hogwarts bully Draco Malfoy . A snarling, bigoted, and wealthy Slytherin who considers anyone not of pure blood and outside his socioeconomic class to be utterly beneath him, Malfoy is absolutely unbearable. On top of all that, he spends as much time as possible bullying Harry, Ron, and Hermione .
Ultimately, Malfoy remains a total coward right until the very end. Alongside his wealthy parents, Lucius and Narcissa , he manages to dodge any danger from either Voldemort or the Order during the Battle of Hogwarts, and after the three spend the fight pledging allegiance to both sides whenever it’s convenient, they run off together into the night. Malfoy might be a pathetic coward when all is said and done, but at least it’s pretty consistent with his overall character.

He’s Protective Over His Students
While Headmaster of Hogwarts, Snape has access to Dumbledore’s office, which has a lot of invaluable instruments, including the pensieve and Dumbledore’s portrait. Yet, he never gives such tools to Voldemort. Snape is also able to keep the Death Eaters, especially the Carrows, in check regarding the torture they inflict upon the students. For example, when Ginny, Luna, and Neville try to steal the sword of Gryffindor, Snape punishes them by sending them into the forbidden forest with Hagrid. Lastly, Snape is able to give authority of Hogwarts back to the Order without blowing his cover or harming anyone. Instead of retaliating when McGonagall engages him into an intense duel, he blocks all her attacks. He never tries to harm her or deflect any of the spells onto the students. Instead, he uses McGonagall’s attack as an opportunity to take out the Carrows.
Can’t Stand: Dolores Umbridge
Dolores Umbridge may just be the most hated character in the whole series. Even among the likes of Voldemort and Bellatrix, she’s one of the evilest characters in Harry Potter.
She’s smug in her refusal to acknowledge the truth of Voldemort and later supports the dark side. She also tortures students and torments Harry for being brave enough to tell the truth about Voldemort, all the while presenting herself as a harmless cat-loving lady.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
Ah, Deathly Hallows, Part 1: perhaps the most divisive movie in the franchise. How do you feel about watching three teenagers bicker in the forest for a few hours? What if two of those characters take a dance break seemingly designed to enrage or tantalize fans, depending on which characters you ship?
There are things to adore in this movie, like the breathtaking animation of the Tale of the Three Brothers. And director David Yates does beautifully capture the frustrations of Harrys Horcrux mission. The scenes in which Harry, Ron and Hermione aimlessly walk through empty fields and abandoned parking lots, a fuzzy voice on the radio rattling off the names of the dead as they wander capture the book perfectly.
But Part 1 spends very little time during those quiet conversations exploring who Dumbledore was and his connection to the Deathly Hallows, three magical tools that are crucial to the final fight in the following film. That may seem like nerdy nitpicking. But good genre fiction distinguishes itself from bad genre fiction by imbuing its McGuffins with actual meaning. If Harry doesnt have a personal connection to the Elderwand through Dumbledore, then hes just chasing some meaningless shiny object. Such scenes also could have given the audience more time with Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, who shines in Part 2 as one of the greatest onscreen villains of all time.

What Is The Weakest Harry Potter Book
Hermione Granger Takes The Wizarding World By Storm
Often described as the brightest witch of her age, Muggle-born Hermione Granger, equipped with formidable intellect and a big heart, spends her time at Hogwarts proving her brilliance and worth, and she’s richly rewarded later in life. Alongside Ron and Harry, Hermione plays an enormous part in Voldemort’s downfall, using her considerable brains to aid her talented but slightly less intelligent best friends at every turn. And there’s no question that Ron and Harry would never have gotten as far as they did without Hermione’s skills as a witch.
Hermione marries Ron and has two children, but more importantly, she goes on to change the wizarding world for the better. Alongside Kingsley Shacklebolt, an Auror who becomes Minister of Magic after Voldemort’s downfall, Hermione reforms the laws of the wizarding world to be kinder to Muggle-born citizens, and when she appears in Cursed Child, she has risen to the post of Minister for Magic herself. Hermione is one of the most unforgettable characters in recent pop culture history, so it’s fitting that she gets such a triumphant ending.
Incontrovertible Proof That Severus Snape Is The Best Harry Potter Character
The Potterverse has seen its fair share of heroes and villains, but Severus Snape has always been the best overall character, in my opinion. Sure, the Golden Trio are iconic, but none of them are as complex as Snape. Snape may have started off as the villain, but by the end, he is the real hero. But how does someone even begin to explain Snape? The Half-Blood Prince made quite the impression. From his zero f*cks attitude to his greasy hair look, there are numerous reasons to love Snape. That’s why I’ve rounded up the top six reasons why he’ll forever be the best character in the film franchise.
Gary Oldman : $40 Million
Gary Oldman is such a chameleon with the roles that he chooses and how he disappears into them. Appropriately, Oldman is given quite the complex character to play who must work through complex betrayal. His work in Harry Potter as Sirius Black is no exception. Oldman’s lengthy career has made him quite the hot commodity.
Which Harry Potter Book Is Least Popular
Harry Potter And The Half
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Book fans tend to criticize the Half-Blood Prince adaptation because it leaves out crucial details about Tom Riddle and why he decides to create the Horcruxes. As a result, the burden falls upon the already plot-heavy sequels to communicate the importance of these magical objects. Its frustrating to watch Harry hunt down and destroy parts of Tom Riddles soul like hes stumbling across random Bosses in a video game when Rowling gave each Horcrux a meaningful backstory in the books that rendered Voldemort a more complex character.
More than any other movie, Half-Blood Prince seems to miss the point of the books. Take the pivotal scene in which Snape kills Dumbledore. Although Harrys single defining trait as a character is his willingness to rush rashly and headlong into danger for his loved ones, the movie-version of Harry stands by and does nothing while Dumbledore is murdered. In the book, Dumbledore has put Harry under a spell that prevents him from moving to interfere with Snapea detail skipped over in the movie. Exacerbating matters is Michael Gambons performance as Dumbledore, which comes across as cold and commanding rather than gentle and eccentric.
