The pretext for such bacchanalia is naturally the upcoming premiere of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, which comes out April 15. Select theaters will play one movie a day leading up to the premiere if you and your friends are up to a little Harry Potter marathon.

This is because all eight Harry Potter movies are playing across the entire week. For example, depending on the theater, you might be able to see Half-Blood Prince and Sorcerers Stone on the same day. The theaters arent playing the series exclusively in order.

Harry Potter Movie Marathon Comes To Cinemark Theaters In Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Cinemark Holdings, Inc., one of the worlds largest and most influential movie theatre companies, has summoned the return of all eight Harry Potter films to nearly all of its theatres.

Fans interested in reliving the magic can see all eight movies for $25 or purchase individual tickets for $5 each.

Cinemark theatres will play one Harry Potter film each day, starting with Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone on Wednesday, April 6, and ending with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on Wednesday, April 13.

This week-long celebration of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter comes just in time for the upcoming release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore only in theatres on April 15.

How we got here:Wizarding World has expanded beyond movies to television, Broadway, and video games, but scandals involving its creator and the cast of the Fantastic Beasts spin-off series show that not all major film franchises have equal staying power.

Box-office woes: The first two Fantastic Beasts films gained nearly 75% of their revenues from foreign sales, according to Variety. But the latest entry may have trouble recouping its low domestic opening abroad due to the shaky status of foreign box offices.

All Eight Harry Potter Films Return To Theaters For 20th Anniversary

The Harry Potter movie franchise is turning 20 years old this year , and Harkins Theatres is getting in on the celebration. Starting August 27, fans can head to select nationwide Harkins Theatres to watch all eight films in the Harry Potter series! The movies will be playing through September 23.

You can purchase tickets and find more information on Harkins.com. Each movie will be screened on multiple days, so if a particular day doesnt work for you there are other options. And of course you can watch the Harry Potter films in whatever order youd like, chronological or otherwise. I know we all have our favorite films within the franchise, so this will be fun however you go about it.

The downside is that while Harkins only has theaters in four states: California, Colorado, Oklahoma and particularly Arizona. So if youre in that part of the country, youre in luck. For everyone else, I wouldnt be surprised if other theater chains got the same idea.

Tickets for the month-long Wizarding Weeks celebration cost around $5 for each film. If youre planning on watching the entire collection, youre looking at spending $40 . Not a horrible price to pay to relive the fond memories Harry Potter has left us with over the years, right?

Welcome Back To Hogwarts

Whoever thought wed see this day? All eight Harry Potter movies are back in theaters, and showtimes are now available.

Warner Brothers teamed up with IMAX to put the entire Harry Potter film series in theaters for the next week. The re-release is purposely timed to gear fans up for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which opens worldwide November 18.

The Movie Is Coming To Theaters Next April

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, which is coming to theaters on April 15, 2022. The trailer gives a look at Mads Mikkelsen’s Grindelwald, as well as returning characters, including Newt Scamander, Jacob, Dumbledore, and more. The new footage also seems to confirm that much of Fantastic Beasts 3 will take place at Hogwarts. You can watch the full trailer below.

The trailer shows Jude Law’s Albus Dumbledore seemingly recruiting a team to take down Grindelwald. We also get a brief glimpse of a duel between Ezra Miller’s Credence and Dumbledore, as well as some adorable creatures the series is known for.

Secrets of Dumbledore is the third movie in the Fantastic Beasts series, following 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and 2018’s The Crimes of Grindelwald. This movie marks Mikkelsen’s debut as Grindelwald, who replaced Johnny Depp after Warner Bros. asked Depp to resign because of abuse allegations between Depp and Amber Heard. Mikkelsen has called taking over the role, “tricky”, saying, “there has to be a bridge between what Johnny did and what I’m going to do.”

The screenplay for Secrets of Dumbledore was penned by J.K. Rowling, the original creator of the Harry Potter series. That makes the decision to support the movie or not difficult for many fans of the wizarding world, as J.K. Rowling has become a major proponent of anti-transgender rhetoric.
