Who Did Draco Malfoy Marry

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix

What Happened To Draco Malfoy After His Wife Died?

In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Draco is named a Slytherin prefect along with Pansy Parkinson. He gets Harry and the Weasley twins banned from the Gryffindor Quidditch team when they attack him during a postmatch brawl after Draco insults their families following Gryffindor’s win over Slytherin. He later joins Dolores Umbridge‘s Inquisitorial Squad, with whom he plays an important part in the exposure of Dumbledore’s Army. As the D.A. flees the Room of Requirement, Draco earns Slytherin fifty points after catching Harry, and helps hold several members captive in Umbridge’s office, letting them free only after Ginny Weasley performs her famous Bat Bogey Hex. After his father and other Death Eaters are captured and sentenced to Azkaban following the events at the Department of Mysteries, Draco twice attempts to get revenge on Harry, but Snape and Minerva McGonagall thwart his first effort, and while returning home on the Hogwarts Express, Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle are transformed into giant slugs by a barrage of hexes cast by several D.A. members coming to Harry’s defence.

Lucius Invented A New Time

In The Prisoner of Azkaban, Hermione Granger used an object called a time-turner that allowed her to fulfill her overstuffed school timetable. The rules of time travel werent explored in too much detail, but the consequences of messing with time irresponsibly were dangerous, and the time-turners could only be used to go back in time by five hours.

With the remaining stock of time-turners smashed during the Battle at the Department of Mysteries, it seemed like J.K. Rowling had put a cap on the time-traveling shenanigans. For anyone who knows even a cursory fact about The Cursed Child, you know that time traveling plays a major role in the plot. And in fact, Lucius Malfoy, in true Malfoy fashion, was revealed to have created a gold-plated time-turner that could go back years in time.

Standing Up To His Parents

Growing up, Draco was eager to please his parents. Draco’s attitude — such as his general disdain for the Weasleys and Muggles — and his actions like trying to take the life of Albus Dumbledore — were constantly informed by his desire to impress Lucius and Narcissa and be the person they wanted him to be. That’s why it’s such a big deal that Draco eventually stood up to his parents. Despite Astoria being a Greengrass — a family that belonged to the Sacred Twenty-Eight — Lucius and Narcissa didn’t approve of Astoria because of her more tolerant view of Muggles.

Draco knew he loved Astoria and that she was a good fit for him, so he stood up to his parents and married her anyway.

Scorpius Malfoy tells Albus Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child his mother claimed that what Draco did “was one of the most courageous things shed ever seen.”

The Character Of Astoria Greengrass

Astoria Greengrass was born in 1982 who was a pure-blood witch. In Harry Potter, she was a British witch who was also a student in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She started attending the school in 1993. She appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 2 where she showed herself at the end of the movie. Moreover, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has also revealed Astoria Greengrass and her marriage with Draco Malfoy. It also revealed that she gave birth to Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy.

The role of Astoria was played by Jade Olivia. She was also the girlfriend of Tom Felton in real life. The character of Astoria was the only one about which Hermoine Granger, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter were not aware. Even though they all were aware of Astoria and his son, they did not know that she was the wife of Draco.

How Did They Meet

How did Draco Malfoy get married with Hermione Granger ...

It has not been mentioned in the play when and how Draco Malfoy and Astoria Greengrass met. But it is assumed that they met during some Slytherin meeting. When they both met first, the age of Astoria was two and the age of Draco was four where they met at a playdate. Astoria was anti-blood purity and she knew since childhood that she is not going to live longer than others.

When they first met as children, it was a party that was hosted by the mother of Astoria. In 1991, when Draco and the sister of Astoria started studying in school, they both were of the same age. Astoria was two years younger than her sister and Draco thats why they rarely had even eye contact in the school.

When Astoria was in the sixth year of her school, she started doing friendships with one of the classmates of her sister i.e. Draco Malfoy. At that time, Draco was studying in the repeat of the seventh year. That was the time when a few Syntherins were left and Astoria was one of them.

She was one of those people who still talked to Draco Malfoy when he got sentences from the Ministry. The reason behind these sentences was his war crimes. So, their friendship started slowly and it turned into love.

They both started loving each other as feelings were developed in both of them. They also went on a date in October. They dated at Hogsmeade. Later, they both decided to get married so that they could proceed their life onwards and spent their whole life together. They both were madly in love.

Did Draco Malfoy Know That He Is Related To Sirius Black

Sirius Black is Draco Malfoy’s first cousin once removed. According to an answer in Quora:

Since, the Malfoy and Black were all about pure blood and stuff, they also married in pure bloods. Narcissa, cousin of Sirius and Regulus Black married Lucius Malfoy.

And at this answer.

Regardless with the answer, did Draco know that Sirius is his cousin or even related to him?

  • 2Well, his mum knew that she had a connection to his elf. That means Sirius’s genealogy was probably common knowledge in the Malfoy family.Jul 5 ’17 at 19:06
  • 5plus, Sirius was the black sheep of the family, so it probably wasn’t talked about much – except for things like ‘if you’re friends with that muggle you’ll end up like Sirius!’ or whatever.Jul 5 ’17 at 19:17
  • 7Genealogy was a big thing with the pure-blood wizard families . I’m sure the Malfoys, Draco included, knew the names of all of the old British wizarding families and how they were related to them and each other.Jul 5 ’17 at 19:33
  • 5Sirius Black is not the uncle of Draco Malfoy. You say yourself that Draco’s mother Narcissa and Sirius were cousins first cousins, in fact. That makes Sirius and Draco first cousins once removed.

That Infamous Deathly Hallows Moment Wasnt Planned

Chances are you know exactly what that means but well set the scene up for you anyway.

Toward the end of Deathly Hallows Part 2, Voldemort returns the grounds of Hogwarts to reveal to everyone that he killed Harry while Harry, unbeknownst to Voldemort, survived the attack. Having been separated prior, Dracos mom Narcissa called for Draco to come over to herand to the side of the Death Eaters. When he did, Voldemort gave him a very uncomfortable but highly memorable hug.

A couple months after Part 2s release, Felton addressed the hug at DragonCon. According to his recollection, he and Ralph Fiennes filmed around 25 takes of that scene. Out of all of those takes, only one included the hug it was a one-off thing Fiennes did. And as strange as he found the moment, he was even more surprised that it made the cut.

Its really interesting because theres definitely a difference with the audience, how they take it. In England, its considered a very chilling moment, a very sort of, the whole audience goes quiet and they dont know what to say or do. Over here , its hilarious.

Draco And Astoria Had A Child

Draco and Astoria named their child the faintly sinister-sounding Scorpius. Much like Draco and Lucius, he had blonde hair, gray eyes, and a pointed noise. Unlike Draco, though, and most likely Lucius too, Scorpius led somewhat of a sad life prior to his first year at Hogwarts he was isolated in Malfoy Manor and had no interactions with kids his own age, leaving him socially ill-equipped. He spent much of his childhood learning about the history of the Wizarding World and reading much about Harry Potter and his part in the Second Wizarding War.

Also unlike Draco and Lucius, Scorpius wasnt raised to harbor the same views toward Muggles and Muggle-borns. He grew up to be uncomfortable in social situations, but otherwise, had a keen emotional intelligence that even the golden trio of Ron, Harry, and Hermione lacked.

Draco Collects Dark Artifacts

Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger – Love Story

Its true that as an adult, Draco doesnt harbor the same views his family did and proved to be a much better man and father than Lucius ever was, but there was nonetheless a few nefarious aspects to Dracos character.

Aside from living in Malfoy Manor, Draco has kept up the family tradition of collecting Dark Magic artifacts. The artifacts in Harry Potter are unquestionably dangerous and can only be used to inflict pain. Examples include Voldemorts Horcruxes, the Crushing Cabinet from Borgin and Burkes, and Umbridges Quill. Why Draco continues to collect objects like these is never answered, but it does add some necessary mystique and is a tantalizing hint that the Malfoy trait isnt out of the man completely.

Draco Wasnt Always A Malfoy

Like any author, Rowling didnt always settle on the first name she came up with for characters in her series, and Draco is among them. Two of his earlier last names appeared on the Original Forty, a list of all of the classmates in Harrys year at Hogwarts, and although some of them never make an appearance, many of them end up having larger roles throughout the series.

Draco had many surnames before I settled on Malfoy. At various times in the earliest drafts he is Smart, Spinks or Spungen. His Christian name comes from a constellation the dragon and yet his wand core is of unicorn.

This was symbolic. There is, after all and at the risk of re-kindling unhealthy fantasies some unextinguished good at the heart of Draco.

And the name Malfoy itself? Per Pottermore, it translates to bad faith from old French.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

The Malfoys remain reluctant followers of Voldemort, who now uses their home as his headquarters Draco passes out after witnessing Voldemort murder Muggle Studies professor Charity Burbage. Harry experiences occasional and disturbing visions of Draco being forced into performing Voldemort’s bidding and feels “sickened… by the use to which Draco was now being put by Voldemort.” When Harry, Ron, and Hermione are captured and taken to Malfoy Manor, Draco is asked to identify them, and though they are clearly recognisable, he only ambiguously replies “It might be.” During the successful escape from Malfoy Manor headed by Dobby, Harry overpowers Draco and captures his wand.

When Harry, Ron, and Hermione seek Ravenclaw’s diadem in the Room of Requirement, Draco, along with Crabbe and Goyle , attempts to capture Harry alive. However, Crabbe defies Draco’s orders and attempts to kill the trio by casting the deadly Fiendfyre unable to control the spell, he dies in the blaze while the trio rescue Draco and Goyle . Draco, despite his often condescending and belittling attitude toward Crabbe and Goyle , grieves for his lost friend. During the Battle of Hogwarts, Draco is seen pleading with a Death Eater who seems intent on killing him. He is once again saved by Harry and Ron, the latter of whom punches Draco in the face under the invisibility cloak for attempting to appease the Death Eater.

Making Peace With Harry

Despite being enemies throughout their years at Hogwarts, as adults Draco and Harry made their peace with one another. They had matured enough to understand one another and there was no longer any reason for animosity between them.

While peace is one thing, friendship is another.

Draco and Harry were at peace, but they didn’t become friends, a dynamic that is captured well when they spot one another from a distance at Platform 9 3/4. In contrast, Harry had made more progress with Dudley Dursley as he actually went to his cousin’s house and had his kids interact with Dudley’s. That being said, the friendship Scorpius Malfoy and Albus Potter form in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child does cause Harry and Draco to open up and work together.

Forced Marriage // Draco Malfoy Hc

Is Draco
  • Request: headcannon for draco and a pureblood slytherin who are forced to marry each other !!!!

A/N: Sorry if theres grammar issues, I did this in one sitting. Hope you enjoy!

  • You were not pleased to hear your parents had arranged for you to marry Draco fucking Malfoy.
  • Neither was he, to be honest.
  • Its not so much that it was surprise, it was just that it was so unwanted by the two of you.
  • But it made sense, you were both 20 and both your parents wanted to continue the lineage of purebloods. Youve had your fun, they told you, But now its time to settle down.
  • Planning the wedding was probably the worst part for you. Picking out centerpieces and color schemes, it seemed so pointless. And it didnt help that you had to do this alongside Draco. So many little arguments over stupid little things. However, dress shopping was rather fun.
  • When the day finally rolled around, you didnt feel ready. Sure youd been speaking with Draco a bit more frequently and you didnt hate his guts or anything, but you still hardly knew this guy. Hell, some of the facts you knew about him couldve just been rumors youd heard while still attending Hogwarts.
  • Nevertheless, you had to walk down that aisle. But what surprised you was that Draco cried. He straight up had tears streaming down his face when you got to the alter.
  • Draco, what the hell? you whispered to him. But he didnt reply, he just wiped his cheeks and put on a brave face. It seemed youd have to ask him about it later.

    Doesnt Use Dark Artifacts

Draco collects dark artifacts like his family has for generations, but doesnt actually use any of them. He just keeps the items in glass cases, like a dark artifact museum. Wed pay good money to visit a dark artifact museum. Each artifact probably has a wild story involved that would make the place great for tours.

His dark artifacts collection has wound up like our Pokémon cards and Beanie-Babies, we just keep them around for viewing and nothing else.

The dark artifacts could work as extra security if the family ever runs low on money. I imagine the artifacts are very pricey. Poor Scorpius though, imagine having a two-year-old running around with all these dark artifacts around the house. We bet he gave Draco and Astoria some heart attacks.

Actually, one way to think about this collection is that its a good deed. Draco collects them and does nothing with them so no one else can have them. No psychopaths can get their hands on some kind of shoes that make people dance until they die or a soul-sucking doll. Draco probably doesnt have that in mind, but does make me realize this collection is for the best of everyone.

Seeing The World In A Better Light

Draco tells Scorpius in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child how Astoria helped him see the world in a better light. Such optimism and hope helped Draco be a better father for Scorpius, a better husband to Astoria, and an overall better person. Draco emphasizes in Cursed Child how more than anything he cares about Scorpius being happy. He does everything in his power to help his son be happy and to support him.

Without Astoria helping Draco see the world in a better light, it seems unlikely that he would’ve been able to become the person fans became reacquainted with in Cursed Child. It’s important to remember that Draco grew up in a hateful environment, meaning the perspective Astoria helped shape for him was truly game-changing in his journey to becoming a better person.

Jk Rowling Reveals What Happened To Draco Malfoy After ‘harry Potter’

“Family gatherings were often fraught with tension, she wrote. Find out why.

Tom Felton, Not Really Draco Malfoy

    — In Monday’s entry of J.K. Rowling’s 12 days of Harry Potter stories on her site Pottermore, the Potter mastermind revealed what happened to Slytherin villain Draco Malfoy after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”

According to MTV News, Draco refused to “follow the same old pure-blood line” and saw things differently after Potter saved him in the final moments of “Deathly Hallows.”

For those not privy to the “Potter” books, Malfoy came from a pureblood family, who taught him that only those coming from a mother and father both of magical decent were worthy. Any coming from one parent of magical origin mixed with another without such powers was lower class, according to the Malfoy family.

Malfoy married pureblood Astoria Greengrass, who did not raise their son to believe Muggles or others were less than purebloods.

“Family gatherings were often fraught with tension, Rowling adds about when Draco would get together with his parents Narcissa and Lucius.

In the end, Rowling said she actually felt “pity Draco.” Malfoy was a product of his upbringing and felt like Potter disrespected him by not being friends.

The author left one final note about Malfoy, that she finds readers attraction to Malfoy a unhealthy fantasy.
