  • Where To Buy Harry Potter Studio Tour Tickets

If you are making your own way to the Harry Potter studios, you have to buy your ticket in advance from the official website. You cannot turn up without a ticket, and tickets are not for sale on site.

Tickets go on sale well in advance, but despite the site having capacity for up to 6,000 people a day, they tend to sell out far in advance, so you will want to plan as far ahead as possible.

The summer months, weekends, and school holidays are the busiest days of the year for the Studio so we recommend that you book as far in advance as you can if you are visiting over those periods.

Weekdays often have better availability, so if you are flexible, look at different days of the week to maximise your chances of getting a ticket.

Tickets are for timed entry, which helps the studios manage visitor numbers throughout the day. Whilst there is no limit to how long you can stay after you enter, you do need to enter the attraction at the time you book. There is a little bit of flexibility in this, but its best not to show up hours later than your time to avoid disappointment.

The WB Studios Tour folks recommend you arrive at the site at least 20 minutes before your ticket time so you can go through the security checks.

If you cant buy a ticket from the official site, dont worry, you still have lots of options.

Deluxe Tours can be booked directly with the Studios, subject to availability, on the official site here.

Harry Potter Studio Tour Shops Update

A lesson I have now learned younger kids shop more cheaply than older ones. I shudder to think about how much money was spent this time around, but we walked out of there with a BIG bag . I shouldnt have been so smug about our first visit. This time around, we got wands AND jelly beans.

Most important tip of all therefore make them take their own pocket money!!

Cunningly, you can buy replicas of many of the Weasleys Wizard Wheezes when you reach the shop at the Warner Bros. Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour, UK.Trust Fred and George to make a toy out of their dads Ford Anglia

    What Is A Fair Price

We personally thought the Warner Bros studio tour was worth US$ 69 each. We probably would have paid up to around 80-90 dollars but any more and we would have written it off.

Its not every day you get to go behind the scenes of a movie studio, especially when youre a big fan of movies.

You have to set a reference point, like paying 10 bucks for a beer at a Dodgers ball game or US$ 100+ on a meal out in Beverly Hills and entrance to Warner Bros wont seem so high!

If you love movies and have a morning or afternoon spare on your Los Angeles itinerary, we think the Warner Bros studio tour could be the one for you.

    It certainly didnt disappoint us.

Highlights The Warner Bros Studio Tour

Driving To The Harry Potter Studio Tour

    Klook Exclusive

For drivers, parking in the car park is free, or you can pay £10 for a Priority Parking space, near the entrance . There are some blue disability badge parking bays close to the main entrance too, but those arent guaranteed to be available.

There are also electric car charging stations, which require you to download the Pod Point Open Charge app.

While we got the train/bus combo for our first visit, train strikes and an even earlier ticket time encouraged us to drive down for our second trip. We didnt , pay the extra £10 to use the closer spaces, but found we were parked very close anyway .

Of course, this was because we were among the first visitors of the day, and if you have a later entry ticket then you are going to be parked further away. Personally, I didnt think the car park was big enough to warrant the extra tenner, especially going early, so bear that in mind if you also book an early slot.

Is The Harry Potter Studio Tour In London Worth It

The Harry Potter Studio tour at Warner Bros is expensive. BUT, I think its totally worth it, especially if you are visiting London with kids, or love the books and movies yourself.

If I compare it to other attractions Ive done around the world, the price is good for what you get. There is no price on magic!

Its one of Londons best attractions for a reason so I would allow room in your budget for it.

All of us LOVED it. Kalyra was thrilled when we told the girls we were going to London because it meant she could finally go to the studios a dream of hers for years.

Craig hasnt seen all of the movies, nor read any of the books, yet he thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Savannah has only read a few of the books and is starting to become more of a devoted fan. She decked herself out with Ravenclaw gear after visiting the Studios.

Harry Potter World London is a fantastic way to allow muggle children to feel magic and help them discover what can happen when you dream big. That alone is worth the ticket price.

Next, Ill share a few Harry Potter World tour extras that may enhance the magic.

The Harry Potter Studio Tour Backlot

Outside in the Backlot, the kids can clamber all over Mr Weasleys Ford Anglia and Hagrids motorbike, as well as the back of the Knight Bus lots of free photo ops here too. Alas, you cant go very far into the Knight Bus no testing out the beds if thats what you fancied, but the kids enjoyed hanging off the platform at the back.

2022 update: The backlot has changed a lot since our last visit. The bus and vehicles are still there, and so is the Hogwarts Bridge and Privet Drive. This time we got to go inside the Dursleys pad, and though its only a couple of rooms, they are great fun. Hello Aunt Marge!

New additions to the Backlot were the Burrows , and Professor Sprouts Greenhouse. You can go inside this, and try your hand at gardening while you are there. Watch out for those Mandrakes

    Serious fun!

    Pick The Guides Brains

No, not literally. The guides in the Warner Bros studios take Harry Potter fandom to. another. level. You will bow in the face of their superior and all out geeky knowledge of the things on the set.

I totally encourage you to sidle up to one and ask a really niche question about a tiny piece of the set buried in the back of a scene, then watch as *poof* all their magical knowledge comes out. Its BEAUTIFUL.

Do You Need A Tour Ticket To Do The Afternoon Tea

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter

Yes, unfortunately you can not come just for the afternoon tea, or even just to shop in the gift shop. They consider all of these things to be part of the experience, and thus you need an actual tour ticket to get in to the building. Then you will also need an additional ticket for the afternoon tea.
