Tickets Golden ToursWe had tried to purchase tickets a month in advance for 4 with no luck. Everything was sold out for the day we wanted to go. My wife went through Golden Tours and got tickets-thank God!!
One suggestion she did was check the package that included the 4 hour hop on/hop off bus. There were enough tickets on this package and she was able to snag and purchase. The other packages that did not have the 4 hour hop on/hop off were all sold out.
This package was slightly higher, but not much, and we wanted to be guaranteed to have tickets for this trip. Others have stated to check the Warner Brothers Website a week before your desired enter date- for released tickets, but we did not want to take a chance of missing this opportunity, so we purchased through Golden Tours. Traveling all the way to the UK, this tour was a must, and did not want to miss out- we were planning and looking forward to this attraction, and ready to enjoy!

Early Entrance To The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter
This benefit is so worth it! Especially, if you are going during a really busy time of year. We really wanted to do the Ollivanders Wand Shop first thing and getting to the park early was great because our daughter was chosen to be the one who got to get a wand. This is by far the best way to see some major and a handful of minor, out-of-the-way Harry Potter London spots that are either where the movies were filmed or served as J.K. Rowlings inspiration for what she wanted the sets to look like.
I lived in London for two years so thought I could easily take my daughter around to find some of these sights. It is SO MUCH EASIER and way more fun to go with Tours for Muggles. They are the only company that is wholly dedicated to Harry Potter tours. And, they are a wealth of enthusiasm and knowledge.
This is a London walking tour that a non-HP fan could easily enjoy as it takes you will walk a little along the Thames, see the bridges, walk through Borough Market and more.
Tip: Be sure to book Tours for Muggles in advance. It is popular and much easier than trying to map out these sites on your own.

The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure puts guests inside the magical world created by J.K. Rowling in the Harry Potter books and films. The fully immersive, themed land enables guests to visit the village of Hogsmeade, the mysterious Forbidden Forest, and even Hogwarts Castle itself. You can drink butterbeer and pumpkin juice, shop for wizard merchandise, and even experience a wand selection! The theming absolutely fantastic. The village is adorable: its like walking right into the books. The effects in Hogwarts Castle are amazing. If you are a Harry Potter fan, it is definitely worth a half-day of your time. On a weekday in the off-season you can do and see everything in about 3 hours.
The newest attraction is Hagrids Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, a freewheeling coaster flight through the Forbidden Forest aboard magical motorbikes. Another big attraction is Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, a state-of-the-art thrill ride that brings the magic, characters and stories of Harry Potter to life.
On select nights, The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle projection show runs every 15-20 minutes. This fantastic show celebrates the four houses of Hogwarts with lights, music and pyrotechnics. There are two seasonal shows that will be shown instead: Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle is shown during Halloween and Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts is shown at Christmastime.

Transportation To Harry Potter World

Staying on the resort allows you to easily get transportation to all the parks without having to drive your car, park it, and commute to the park. It is so nice to walk right out of your hotel room and jump on a bus.
Once you get off the bus at the parks, there is an escalator going up, and then moving walkways. The moving walkways went a long way, and you can look out in both directions as the sides were not enclosed. It helped build up the anticipation for us!
There are also water taxis that run starting 30 minutes before the early hours start.
If you want to drive, parking starts at $25 but is free after 6:00 pm except during Halloween time.
Should I Purchase Souvenirs At The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter
I highly recommend getting a wand because not only is it a great souvenir you can use it in both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. I think it is worth it.
Other items such as shirts, mugs, and magnets. I wouldnt necessarily purchase at the park. You can find these types of things at souvenir stores located throughout Orlando for a lot cheaper. However, if there is something you love and have not seen anywhere else then I suggest getting it.

Getting tickets for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play in London is no easy feat. It is well worth the effort and expense. The play is in two parts and we saw both in one day.
The story occurs nineteen years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and follows Harry Potter, now a Ministry of Magic employee, and his younger son Albus Severus Potter. Albus is about to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and lets just say he gets into a bit of trouble along the way and struggles to live up to his famous fathers name. The special effects are quite amazing.
Tips: Avoid balcony seats at the Palace Theater unless you can get into the first few rows . My daughter learned through her research that actors come out from the backstage door to sign autographs so definitely buy a program, head over to the back of the theater after the last play and grab some signatures!

There was also one other downside to the pass. You move through the queues extremely fast. Some of the queues are themed. I almost wanted to get out of the line at one point so I could wait in line and walk slowly through Hogwarts castle to take it all in.
Well, almost. Ill be honest. I loved that ride so much, that maximizing the times I could do it was so worth it! Please note that the pass has variable rates, so the more crowded it is, the more you are going to have to pay. I hope that helps your Harry Potter vacation planning!
