Draco Was Originally Meant To Throw Harry His Wand During The Final Climax
There was one small deleted scene that was filmed but never made the final cut that drastically changes Draco Malfoy’s character.
Tom Felton’s Malfoy rejoins Voldemort’s side when Voldemort triumphantly returns to Hogwarts with Harry’s dead body in tow. However, in a deleted segment, Malfoy switches sides again when Harry reveals himself as still alive.
Malfoy rushes forward and throws Harry his wand back, shouting “Potter” as he does so. The scene was likely cut to keep the focus on Harry and Voldemort as the former springs back to life, but it’s still a cool scene. Watch below:

The Props Department Made Bum Casts For Ron And Hermione When They Rode Brooms
Rupert Grint and Emma Watson both had casts of their backsides made for them for the Room of Requirement scene in which they ride broomsticks because the sticks were so uncomfortable.
Watson told the Daily Sport back in 2009: “It’s not the most comfortable thing. They made this little seat for me so they took this mould of the chair area.”

The movie alternates between being a frenetic, nail-biting thriller and a slow-moving adolescent relationship drama set against a beautifully shot, expansive backdrop. Director David Yates, back for his third Potter film, speeds through the action sequences early in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 — like the fantastic Seven Potters scene, in which six of Harry’s friends masquerade as him so that they can help move him to safety. But the second act, when Harry, Ron, and Hermione are camping, hiding, and waiting for inspiration can feel sluggish. The series’ most fervent fans may feel disappointed that some scenes and characters were barely in the movie it would have been great to see more of Remus, the Weasleys , Neville , Krum, Dean, and more. And an entire review could be dedicated to all of the important details in the novel that didn’t make the cut.

However, that was just to move the plot along as the true importance of this movie, directed by Mike Newell, was to bring Lord Voldemort back from the dead, setting up the main villain for the rest of the series. Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame was a Hogwarts student in this movie, killed in cold blood by the Death Eaters, and Voldemort declared war on all wizards by the end of this film.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald is the second in a five movie plan to further flesh out these characters. This film focuses mainly on Credence, Newt and his family, and Grindelwalds scheming. Jude Law joins the cast as young Dumbledore in this movie.
The Crimes of Grindelwald received a mainly negative reaction from die hard Harry Potter fans. However, if you enjoyed the first Fantastic Beasts movie, you likely wont completely hate this one, unless you really dont like changes to the established canon. If youre new to Harry Potter and thinking of turning away because of Potter fans keep telling you to stop now, dont listen. At least give this film a chance and decide for yourself whether to hate it or think its fine. Not the best, but not terrible.
Fantastic Beasts 3 is expected to hit theaters on November 12, 2021, but with a delayed filming schedule, it might be a bit longer before we see another Harry Potter movie. Luckily, as we wait for the next film installment, we can always rent or buy any of or other video on demand services.
