In case you needed a reminder, there are seven books in the Harry Potter series: one for each academic year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But, of course, there are eight instalments in the film franchise.
The filmmakers wisely decided to split the final book into two volumes: The Deathly Hallows, Parts 1 and 2.
After that came the two Fantastic Beasts prequel films, released in 2016 and 2018. The correct order to watch all ten films is as follows:

Viewers outside of the U.S. do not have these same problems in watching the franchise, but currently only two countries can watch the eight films on Netflix.
Those two countries are Australia and Turkey.
In the U.K. all of the movies are on Virgin TV Go. In Canada, the movies currently do not have a streaming home.

Besides Netflix, you can find Harry Potter on Peacock, NBCs streaming service. Youll have to sign up for either a Peacock Plus or Peacock Premium subscription, though, as the free option doesnt include the Harry Potter movies.

Netflix uses geoblocking software to keep you from viewing content thats not available in your region. It uses your IP address to determine your location, and then shows you the corresponding Netflix library.
The best way to watch Harry Potter in August 2022 is to convince Netflix that youre in Australia. You can do this by connecting to a server there with a Australian IP address and thats where a VPN comes in.
That said, not every VPN can give you access to Netflix and even those that are capable of this cant necessarily access the Harry Potter movies. Even our cybersecurity experts arent sure exactly why this is, but its a problem you should be prepared for!
