Harry Potter And The Word Always

As mentioned earlier, this term was used in a conversation between Severus Snape and Albus Dumbledore in a very significant way.

Its not always clear where Snapes loyalties lie since he plays on both the good and evil sides.

Outwardly, he seems to follow Voldemort. Inwardly, he actually follows and helps Dumbledore and those close to him.

This ambiguity isnt left for most of the story and is actually cleared up in short order.

It turns out that this character is deeply motivated by love, something that Voldemort doesnt know anything about.

This betrayal towards Voldemort occurred not so long before Lilys death.

Since the evil wizard threatened the very person that Snape loved so dearly, it probably made him rethink what he was getting himself into.

It turns out, he became a double agent during this time for Dumbledore, even before Harry Potter started his first year at Hogwarts.

He came to the scene of the crime in Godrics Hollow, where Voldemort murdered both of Harrys parents.

At this point, he was tasked with returning the boy safely.

Even after this point, the man was still fairly conflicted as to where his loyalties lie.

In a conversation between him and Dumbledore before the main series even started, it became much more clear to him.

The headmaster pleaded with the man to think about his love for Lily and base his decisive loyalty on that.

From then on, he swore to protect Harry Potter, which he even did during the first book and movie.

Jk Rowling Explains The Inspiration Behind The Deathly Hallows Symbol

    Harry Potter

In a BBC documentary Harry Potter: a History of Magic, author JK Rowling reveals the symbol had a deeper meaning.

Image of Deathly Hallows and Masonic Symbol

Rowling was watching The Man Who Would Be King, a Rudyard Kipling adaptation starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine. The movie featured a Masonic symbol, and she believes it might have been subconsciously inspired the Deathly Hallows symbol.

The Masonic symbol uses the manual tools of stonemasons, a square, and a set of compasses to form a triangular shape.

But how could she be so sure that the two are connected?

Why Do Some Wizards In Harry Potter Hate Muggle Borns And Mudbloods

When J.K. Rowling wrote the Harry Potter series, she managed to create a magic world that is quite similar to ours. There are the good and the bad guys in both worlds, and there are white supremacists in our world, and pure blood supremacists in their world.

Yes, pure blood supremacists are the equivalent of white supremacists. They look down on muggle borns and call them mudbloods, which is a derogatory term.

They, in fact, throughout the whole Harry Potter series tend to create a magical world without muggle-borns, as they believe they do not deserve to use their magical powers, as they do not have wizard parents.

They believe that wizards and witches who have no muggles or muggle borns in their family trees, were biologically superior to wizards and witches who had done so.

Ironically, their leader the Dark Lord is not a pure blood, as his father Tom Riddle Sr. is a muggle.

The Blacks and Malfoys are some of the bigger supremacist families throughout the Harry Potter series.

The Tale Of The Three Brothers

To understand what these objects are, the story behind them explains it fairly well.

This is a tale that almost all children in magical families know about and is considered a sort of myth or legend.

Most dont believe in the reality of the story, but they find that its a great way to teach children humility, wisdom, and other morals. Some think that the Peverell brothers this story is based on served just as inspiration and is still based on true events.

However, to some, the story is real.

One day, three brothers were walking along a road during the dark hours and eventually came across a deep river.

Being that the group was adept in magic, they just came up with a bridge using their magical wands and safely went across.

Midway across the bridge, a mysterious hooded figure appeared in front of them.

That figure turned out to be Death, furious that the brothers evaded him.

    Triangle Appearances In Harry Potter

Symbol of the Deathly Hallows Scene – Deathly Hallows Part 1

This triangular sign was actually shown before it was even described to the audience to Harry Potter himself.

This occurred during the sixth school year in the series during a scene involving a memory from the Pensieve.

It was on the ring of Marvolo Gaunt, whos actually Voldemorts maternal grandfather and Salazar Slytherins descendant.

The symbol was referred to as the Peverell family coat of arms, foreshadowing its true nature even while not being the entire truth.

More of this mystery was revealed during the following year, where the sign appeared yet again in the wedding of William Weasley and Fleur Delacour.

Xenophilius Lovegood, most likely a collector of odd trinkets, was wearing a necklace featuring the triangle.

A few months later, Hermoine Granger discovered the same symbol in a story in The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

While its significance isnt explained at this time, it eventually is.

Its not until both Harry and Hermione went over to Grodics Hollow to visit where Harry Potters parents rest that more about the mystery is revealed.

Its here where Ignotus Peverell is also buried with the Deathly Hallows mark.

This makes sense since he was the original owner of the Cloak of Invisibility.

After discovering it again in one of Albus Dumbledores writings, they went to Xenophilius Lovegood to finally see what its all about.

Gryffindor’s sword is one of the relics of the Hogwarts founders, along with Ravenclaw’s diadem, Hufflepuff’s cup, and Slytherin’s locket, and it’s the only one not made into a Horcrux by Lord Voldemort. This is no ordinary sword, mind you like the other objects, it carries with it the aura of its heroic owner, and is a symbol of Godric Gryffindor’s distinguishing trait, bravery. The sword seems to recognize a “true Gryffindor” when it sees one, and it has a way of appearing when Gryffindor is in need in this book, it magically appears in the Sorting Hat when Neville requires it to chop off Nagini the snake’s head . The sword is an enduring symbol of the values that Gryffindor House represents, and it acts seemingly of its own will sometimes to staunchly protect these values.

    Who Owned The Deathly Hallows

While no one has held all three Deathly Hallows at the same time, both Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore managed to hold all three at some points in their lives. Harry had gotten hold of the Cloak of Invisibility after Dumbledore gave it to him for Christmas, saying it belonged to Harrys father. He opened his first golden snitch to retrieve the Resurrection Stone. And he later got hold of the Elder Wand as his true master. However, he dropped the Resurrection Stone before he could get hold of the Elder Wand had he kept it, he would have been the literal Master of Death as the Deathly Hallows symbol implied.

Dumbledore held the Elder Wand after his duel with Grindelwald. He held onto the Cloak of Invisibility after borrowing it from James Potter, but then returned it on Harrys first year at Hogwarts. He found the Resurrection Stone on Harrys sixth year at Hogwarts when he obtained the Gaunt ring. Had he held onto the cloak until Harrys sixth year, he could have carried all three of the Deathly Hallows.

    Background Of Severus Snape

Theres no question that this dark and foreboding wizard seems to hold Harry Potter to a different standard compared to the other students in this school.

While most readers and viewers dont like Professor Snape that much, part of the reason why he is the way he is can be understood through his childhood experiences.

This particularly relates to him and Harry Potters parents during their time at Hogwarts.

During his school years, Severus was placed in the House of Slytherin.

Even though not everyone in this house turns malignant and evil like Tom Riddle, it obviously has a dark past related to its founder.

On the other hand, the glorious background of the House of Gryffindor somewhat places the two houses at odds with each other.

Thats the house that James Potter and Lily Evans were placed in.

In turn, James was always picking on Severus through various pranks.

It turns out that Severus actually had feelings for Lily, making the pranks and torment that much worse.

This explains the complex feelings that this shadowy character has around the main character.

While at first, they seem at odds with each other, it turns out that he actually cares about the young apprentice.

This is all explained in the end when he dies and gives a piece of himself to be revealed in the Pensieve.

Much like Mr. Darcy in Pride & Prejudice, hes not all that he seems to most people.

The Philosopher’s Stone Is The Forbidden Fruit

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows “Sign of the Deathly Hallows” Official (HD)

Harry Potter’s a story with plenty of big ideas, from genocide to triumph, but there’s perhaps no bigger theme in the franchise than death. It’s an ever-constant, established from the very beginning – Harry’s defined as a misfit orphan before discovering his magical heritage – and in the very first film, we’re given a clear message that power is more of a burden than a gift.

The story revolves around the fated Philosopher’s Stone and Voldemort’s quest to gain eternal life. Like the forbidden fruit that Eve stole in the Bible, it’s a small, round and red item that represents what humanity should never get their hands on Dumbledore, a bearded, God-like figure, says as much, telling Harry that though the stone brings with it great wealth and eternal living, those are the two things that can ruin a person’s life.

It becomes clear that even Nicolas Flamel – the man who created the stone – knows that the stone would one day have to be destroyed true wisdom is not seeking the temptation to become powerful, it would seem, but knowing when to avoid it.
