Aside from Voldemort, Draco Malfoy might be the top nemesis to Harry Potter in the series. Early on, he tries to make friends with Harry but when Harry snubs that invitation they become enemies. It doesnt help that they were also sorted to rival houses Gryffindor for Harry and Slytherin for Draco.

Through the years the rivalry continues and only seems to get worse. Draco, a pureblood Wizard, chooses to fight beside Voldemort with his family which really makes him an enemy for Harry. Though Harry still showed sympathy for his situation by the end of the war they never really moved past all the events that happened between them.

During the 2011 EW press panel, Helen McCrory spoke about how epic the final battle scene was.

It really happened, and it was a privilege to be there. It was electric.”

Bonnie Wright Liked Filming On The Room Of Requirement Set Despite Its Flaws

John Hurt dead at 77 star of The Elephant Man dies

In 2020, Bonnie Wright sat down with her on-screen brothers, James and Oliver Phelps , on an episode of their podcast “Double Trouble” .

While discussing fond memories from “Harry Potter,” Wright said she liked filming the Dumbledore’s Army scenes in the fifth movie, despite the fact that the Room of Requirements set was physically uncomfortable.

“I liked it, and then I got really claustrophobic in it … Towards the end, it was too many people in one room, like it got a bit hysterical,” she said. “But I think that’s why I like it because I think it was such a specific time when everyone was just like annoying teenagers.”

Fleur Delacour Clmence Posy

Poésys first Harry Potter appearance was midway through the franchise, with Goblet of Fire. She wasnt seen again until Deathly Hallows: Part 1, and Part 2, for her wedding to Bill Weasley and Dobbys funeral at Shell Cottage. After Potter, Poésy has had consistent work, namely a lead role on The Tunnel for 3 seasons. Shes also set to star in Christopher Nolans new film, Tenet, set for release summer 2020.

Jason Isaacs Relished In Being Magical

From the moment the cameras started rolling on his first scene, Jason Isaacs was really into playing the despicable Lucius Malfoy.

“The favorite moment I had in all of it was my very first with Richard Harris and with young 11-year-old Daniel , and the day that I realized that I could wave my hand and doors would shut,” he told Hollywire in 2015.

He continued, “And I could kick in midair and create Dobby and he would fall over because I kicked him. Just, yeah, the sheer dizzying power of magic was fantastic.”

Cedric Diggory Goes Dark

Cedric Diggory was the epitome of what it meant to be a member of Hufflepuff House: he was diligent, fair-minded, and loyal. Whats more, Cedric was also exceptionally brave and good-natured so not a guy youd expect to join Lord Voldemorts Death Eaters. Thats exactly what happens in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, though.

In a dark alternate timeline where Cedric survives his tragic fate in Goblet of Fire. This version of Cedric was badly humiliated, to the extent that he later succumbs to the temptation of the Dark Arts. It’s simply hard to buy this. Cedric was well-adjusted and inherently noble, not to mention a popular student supported by a loving father. It just doesnt ring true that one event however embarrassing would drive him to act so wildly out of character.

Harry’s Elder Wand Plan Didn’t Work

Harry Potter fans only familiar with the big screen version of the story wont be aware that the Elder Wand isnt destroyed in the books. Instead, Harry stashes it in a secret hiding place, in the hope that he will retain mastery of it until he shuffles off this mortal coil. Once Harry passed, the bond between owner and wand would be broken with nobody else able to take it on ending a seemingly unbreakable cycle of violence forever.

Its a solid plan, but Cursed Child derails it completely. Thats because the play shows Harry disarmed and humbled by Delphi before reinforcements arrive. This means that none other than Voldemorts daughter became the new master of the Elder Wand and considering it required a group effort to bring her down, she probably still is, too!

Maggie Smith Wasn’t Too Keen On Sitting Around In Mcgonagall’s Wardrobe Waiting For Her Scenes

JK Rowling and âHarry Potterâ cast members are sharing ...

According to the Evening Standard, Dame Maggie Smith didn’t have the best time behind-the-scenes on the “Harry Potter” sets.

“I used to find the most exhausting thing was wearing those hats,” she said. “They’re the heaviest things in the world. I had a hat, it was like the Albert Hall, it was huge and so heavy.”

The actress continued, “I was in the snow for about a week with that daft hat on my head for ‘Harry Potter’ and sitting in that trailer day after day and not being used that doesn’t make you feel too jolly.”

Career As A Wandmaker

John Hurt Investigates Illegitimate Grandmother | Who Do You Think You Are
Renowned wandmaker Mr Ollivander owns the wand shop Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands Since 382 BC in Diagon Alley. His shop is widely considered the best place to purchase a wand.
Description

Ollivander holding one of the many wands inside his shop

Ollivander grew up in the family business and showed precocious talent in wandmaking. Soon, he developed an ambition to improve upon the cores and wand woods he made and developed a determination to pursue the ideal wand.

Before Garrick Ollivander’s proprietorship of Ollivanders, wizards used a wide variety of wand cores the customer would often present their wandmaker with a magical substance to which they were attached, and he would turn it into their wand core. Mr Ollivander believed that doing so altered the wand’s temperament, and he revolutionised the way wands were crafted by having cores of immensely powerful magical substances expertly enclosed in specially selected and complementary wandwoods, with the result being that the wand would be matched to an owner that the wand itself felt an affinity for.

Ollivander talking with a customer

While there was initially substantial resistance to this new way wands were made, it soon became clear that wands made by Ollivander were far superior to any others. His methods of locating wand woods and core substances, marrying them together, and matching them to ideal owners were all jealously guarded secrets that were coveted by rival wandmakers.
