Dumbledore awaited him with news that he’d successfully killed off the part of Voldemort that remained inside of him in the process of dying, and that he had a choice to board a train back to the realm of the living or to just move on … to where, he didn’t say.
Harry, knowing his battle wasn’t done, opted for the former. He left behind the scaly, fetal version of Voldemort that had infected his brain for so long, and used his perceived death to gain an advantage as Hagrid carried him back to the school, with an unknowing Voldemort bragging about his conquest to garner new recruits from the ravaged student pool.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will be released on HBO Max on New Years Day 2022.
In exciting news, the reunion special will be available to watch in the UK on the same day, with Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts becoming available to watch on Sky Max and streaming service NOW from 1st January 2022.
It comes in the wake of the reunion special for the Friends cast, which was also released on HBO Max earlier this year.

Sky and NOW will also air Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses on 29th December 2021, which will see Wizarding World fans have their Harry Potter knowledge put to the test as they fight to be named House Cup Champion.
In addition to its release on 1st January 2021, the reunion special will also air in the US on TBS and Cartoon Network in spring 2022 in the run-up to the theatrical release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
A press release confirming the special revealed that it will tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time.
Alongside actors, Radcliffe, Watson and Grint, the director of the first two films, Chris Columbus, will also join the TV special to honour the magic behind the making of the films and the beautiful family created at Warner Bros Studios London two decades ago.
He Lost His Parseltongue Ability
In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, it is revealed that Harry can speak Parseltongue, which means that he can communicate with snakes.
This leads everyone to believe that he is the heir of Slytherin and that he is the one who opened the Chamber of Secrets. While he was a Parselmouth, he only got the ability because part of Voldemorts soul was attached to Harry.
After Voldemort struck Harry down in the Forbidden Forrest, the Horcrux inside Harry was destroyed meaning he was no longer able to speak to snakes.
As J.K. Rowling explained in 2007, He loses the ability, and is very glad to do so.
Speaking to snakes may seem like an awesome ability for some, but Harry had always hated the similarities he shared with the Dark Lord.

Friday Estimates: Fantastic Dominates Charts But With Just $297 Million
As expected, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them easily earned first place on Friday. However, it only managed $29.7 million, which was well below expectations. This is the worst opening day in the Harry Potter franchise since The Chamber of Secrets. The reviews are weaker than the franchise as a whole, but its CinemaScore is an A and thats roughly average for the previous 8 Harry Potter films. The film should still earn between $70 million and $75 million over the weekend, depending on if the high CinemaScore can overcome the Fanboy Effect. She is, however, expected to appear in the special via archived footage.

After several weeks of travelling in which they accomplish nothing, they overhear a conversation between Ted, Dirk Cresswell, Dean Thomas, and GoblinsGriphook and Gornuk, wherein it is revealed that Godric Gryffindor’s sword, which had been in Dumbledore’s possession and was then sent to the Lestrange Vault for protection, is actually a copy. They also mention that the whereabouts of the real sword are unknown. Harry, Hermione, and Ron also overhear that some students attempted to steal the sword from Snape, prior to its removal. Upon hearing that the perpetrators were their friends, the trio worry about the punishment but are relieved to hear that their friends only served detention with Rubeus Hagrid. Harry and Hermione hear all this and are heartened, and after questioning the portrait of Phineas Nigellus Black, they discover that the sword had last been used by Dumbledore on another Horcrux, ‘s ring.
Hermione realises that it must be impregnated with basilisk venom and therefore can destroy Horcruxes. Ron is discouraged, feeling that with the sword now necessary as well and out of reach, their quest is becoming hopeless. He argues with Harry and it becomes apparent that the locket Horcrux has messed with Ron’s mind, making him behave the way he is, and angrily departs claiming that Hermione had chosen Harry over himself when she decides to stay, leaving Harry and Hermione together.

Thus, to see all the films in the Harry Potter universe it is only necessary to follow the order of release of the films, which is the same chronological order of the novels. Of course, the last novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was divided into two parts in its film adaptation, in order to accommodate all its events in film format. Weekend Prediction: Is Grindelwald Committing Crimes Against The Harry Potter Franchise
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the latest installment in the Harry Potter franchise, but sadly, its reviews are, by far, the worst in the franchise. It should still have no trouble earning first place and will very likely break even just on its international numbers, but this is still troubling for its future. The second biggest release of the week is Instant Family and its reviews are good, but not great. They are certainly fine for a family comedy. Widows is the best-reviewed new release, but its buzz is quiet enough that it will barely finish in the top five. Meanwhile, A Private War is expanding nationwide and that could help it earn a spot in the top ten, but I wouldnt bet on it. This weekend last year, Justice League opened with $93.84 million, while Wonder debuted in second place with $27.55 million. Add in The Stars $9.81 million opening and the three wide releases pulled in $130 million. Contest: Game Of Chance
There are three wide releases, but only two of them have any chance of becoming more than a midlevel hit. Free Birds is a digitally animated family film that has a very timely release, but it is also a second-tier CG animated film. Ender’s Game is a $110 million film based on a book aimed at young adults. It is yet another film trying to tap into the vacuum left behind by Harry Potter. I don’t think either of them will be big hits, but one of them has to be the target film. I think Free Birds will have better legs, but that Ender’s Game will have a better opening. As such, it is the target film for this week’s box office prediction contest. In order to win, one must simply predict the opening weekend box office number for Ender’s Game. Whoever comes the closest to predicting the film’s opening 3-day weekend box office , regardless if they go over or not, will win a copy of The Conjuring on Blu-ray Combo Pack.

The Friends: The Reunion had been among the highlights in the entertainment world this year, and now, another iconic franchise is set to make a comeback. Ten years after the world of Harry Potter and his friends bid goodbye to one of the most popular franchises, the lead actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint and are coming together again. The occasion is the 20th-anniversary celebrations of the film franchise, that had kicked off with the 2001 film Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
The makers announced the event with a special video on Tuesday. The video featured various moments of the adventures of Harry Potter, his friends and the villains as they announced the reunion, titled Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts. Here’s all you need to know about the Harry Potter reunion:
Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

We kick off the list with a film with no appearance from Harry Potter Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set many years before Harry ever sets foot inside Hogwarts. Released in 2016, the first film in the Wizarding World series introduces us to Eddie Redmaynes absurdly likeable Newt Scamander, who travels to New York in pursuit of an escaped Niffler, but has dark forces to contend with along the way.
This was written by JK Rowling herself, who claims shes got an idea for a total of five movies.

In those obituaries, it is revealed that Albus’s father Percival supposedly hated Muggles and had attacked three Muggle boys, earning himself imprisonment in Azkaban, where he later died. The other article is an interview by Rita Skeeter, concerning a forthcoming biography of Dumbledore entitled The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore, in which she hints that Dumbledore was responsible for the death of his younger sister Ariana, and that he was, at one time, a wizarding supremacist with Gellert Grindelwald.
Weekend Estimates: Coco Gives Disney Another Thanksgiving Win
Coco will easily top the box office chart this Thanksgiving weekend, with Disney projecting a $71 million 5-day opening, including $49 million from Friday to Sunday. Thats the fourth-best Thanksgiving opening of all time, behind Frozen , Moana , and Toy Story 2 . In all, Disney lays claim to 10 of the top 11 opening weekends over this holiday period, although, to be fair, the Hunger Games and Harry Potter franchises both claim several spots in the higher reaches of the Thanksgiving weekend record chart, but were just playing in their second weekend, rather than opening.

Dolores Umbridge First Speaks As A Member Of The Wizengamot

Dolores Umbridge first appears when Harry has to attend a disciplinary hearing before the Wizengamot at the Ministry of Magic.
Her opening line in both the book and movie is aimed at Dumbledore.
She says, “I’m sure I must have misunderstood you, professor. Dementors are, after all, under the Ministry of Magic …” and goes on to degrade him for suggesting that the Ministry sent Dementors to attack Harry.
Harry Potter Films At : What The Cast Did Next
Hold on to your sorting hat, the original cast of the Harry Potter series are to reunite on screen to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first film, Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone.
The HBO Max special, titled Return to Hogwarts, will be released on 1 January, the network has said.
The stars of the franchise, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, and their cast mates, will join the first film’s director Chris Columbus at the reunion to discuss the eight films in depth.

The announcement came exactly 20 years to the day since the release of the first film on November 16 2001. The final instalment, Deathly Hallows Part 2, hit cinemas in 2011.
