The final book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was divided into two films, with the first one coming out in 2010. Get ready for plenty of the creepy villain Lord Voldemort, he of the smashed, slit nose, as Harry sets out to find and destroy Voldemort’s Horcruxes, which give him immortality. And there’s another sob-worthy death, because of course there is.

The Making Of Harry Potter
In March 2011, Warner Bros. announced plans to build a tourist attraction in the United Kingdom to showcase the Harry Potter film series. The Making of Harry Potter is a behind-the-scenes walking tour featuring authentic sets, costumes and props from the film series. The attraction is located at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden, where all eight of the Harry Potter films were made. Warner Bros. constructed two new sound stages to house and showcase the famous sets from each of the British-made productions, following a £100 million investment. It opened to the public in March 2012.

Its been a 10 years since Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone made its way to theaters. Harry Potter has been through a lot with his two best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. There has been adventure, heartbreak, and even death, all the elements that have shaped Harry into the man he needs to be to face the dark and evil wizard Lord Volemort. Now with the final installment of the Harry Potter movie franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, coming to theaters on July 15, maybe some people need a little refresher of the events that have lead Harry Potter to this epic and final battle. We all know the classic battle of book vs movie, of which one is better and how the books have more details, but although Ive read the books religiously since they came out, I will stick to the movie franchise. I will give a brief summary of the events that transpire in each of the movies so that those that will go see the last installment wont be lost and can fully enjoy the incredible epicness that is the Harry Potter series. Fantastic Beasts 3 Controversy
The Crimes of Grindelwald had the lowest box office in the history of the Wizarding World, and was arguably the least popular with cinema audiences. But the new movie has even bigger challenges to face if its going to be a success theres so much Fantastic Beasts 3 controversy out there right now that it could put an Avada Kedavra curse on the saga.

Rowlings controversial Twitter posts and 3,800-word essay about the transgender community have attracted extensive backlash from Harry Potter fans, with Wizarding World stars including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Eddie Redmayne publicly distancing themselves from the . Johnny Depp was involved in a libel case that made lots of unsavory allegations about his private life and was later kicked from the movie.
Meanwhile, the casting of Korean actress Claudia Kim as Nagini was considered by many to be racially insensitive , and many are upset that Dumbledores much-talked-about romantic relationship with Grindelwald has been invisible on-screen. The franchise has turned into something of a magnet for negative headlines.

Completion Of The Series
In December 2005, Rowling stated on her web site, “2006 will be the year when I write the final book in the Harry Potter series.” Updates then followed in her online diary chronicling the progress of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with the release date of 21 July 2007. The book itself was finished on 11 January 2007 in the Balmoral Hotel, Edinburgh, where she scrawled a message on the back of a bust of Hermes. It read: “J. K. Rowling finished writing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in this room on 11 January 2007.”
Rowling herself has stated that the last chapter of the final book was completed “in something like 1990”. In June 2006, Rowling, on an appearance on the British talk show Richard & Judy, announced that the chapter had been modified as one character “got a reprieve” and two others who previously survived the story had in fact been killed. On 28 March 2007, the cover art for the Bloomsbury Adult and Child versions and the Scholastic version were released.
In September 2012, Rowling mentioned in an interview that she might go back to make a “director’s cut” of two of the existing Harry Potter books.

Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Special Coming To Hbo Max In January
The main cast are coming together for an unscripted special this January to mark the 20th anniversary of the film.
The main cast of the Harry Potter film series are reuniting for an HBO Max special coming this January. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and more will return for an unscripted “retrospective special” for HBO Max it is scheduled to premiere on January 1.
Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, and Ian Hart will appear as well. Chris Columbus, who directed the original Harry Potter, will appear, too, along with special guests to be announced later.
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling was not mentioned at all in the press release announcing the event. She has faced criticism over her comments about sex and gender issues.
The special is called Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, and it marks the first time that the cast is getting back together in this way since the first movie premiered in 2001.
The special will include interviews and conversations with the cast, and you can check out a teaser video above. The special will also air on TBS and Cartoon Network in Spring 2022 before Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore comes to theaters later in the year.

Now, here’s where things get slightly tricky. The Fantastic Beasts films are prequels, so they take place decades before the events of the original Harry Potter movies.
Those take place during Harry’s time at Hogwarts, so each book/movie corresponds to a school year. The final two movies split the final book and school year.
Here’s the list of Harry Potter movies and the year in which they are set:
Fantastic Beasts 3 is likely to be set right after the second film in that series and before the events of Sorcerer’s Stone.
And if the Harry Potter stage play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, is made into a movie, it would fall at the end of both the release order and chronological order since it’s set circa 2017.
Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets
Harry, Ron, and Hermione return to Hogwarts for their second year, which proves to be more challenging than the last. The Chamber of Secrets has been opened, leaving students and ghosts petrified by an unleashed monster. Harry must face up to claims that he is the heir of Salazar Slytherin , learn that he can speak Parseltongue, and also discover the properties of a mysterious diary, only to find himself trapped within the Chamber of Secrets itself.

Harry Potter Reunion Special Release Date
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts will be released on HBO Max on New Years Day 2022.
In addition to its release on 1st January 2021 on HBO Max, the reunion special will also air on TBS and Cartoon Network in Spring 2022 in the run-up to the theatrical release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
A press release confirming the special revealed that it will tell an enchanting making-of story through all-new in-depth interviews and cast conversations, inviting fans on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time.
Alongside actors Radcliffe, Watson and Grint, the director of the first two films, Chris Columbus, will also join the TV special to honour the magic behind the making of the films and the beautiful family created at Warner Bros Studios London two decades ago.

Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
During Harry’s fourth year, Hogwarts plays host to a legendary event: the Triwizard Tournament. Three European schools participate in the tournament, with three ‘champions’ representing each school in the deadly tasks. The Goblet of Fire chooses Fleur Delacour, Viktor Krum, and Cedric Diggory to compete against each other. However, curiously, Harry’s name is also produced from the Goblet thus making him a fourth champion, which results in a terrifying encounter with a reborn Lord Voldemort.

How To Watch Harry Potter Movies Online
In the US as of May 2021, as well as being able to rent or buy the Harry Potter movies on services like Amazon, they’re all streaming on the Peacock service. At the time of writing, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban are available to stream for free with ads, while the rest are behind the paywall. From June 1, all eight movies are available to stream on HBO Max again, too.
In the UK, you can’t currently stream the movies, but you can rent them on Amazon, iTunes and more. The complete Harry Potter series is also available on Blu-Ray.
The Fantastic Beasts movies aren’t currently streaming in the US or the UK.
