Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban

The third Potter film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, came out in 2004 and is one of the creepiest of the films, thanks to the eerie dementors, soulless, eyeless beings who guard the wizard prison, Azkaban. As Harry and friends start their first year, the dementors are guarding Hogwarts, supposedly offering protection from Sirius Black, an Azkaban escapee. Of course, in the Potter universe, nothing is quite as it seems.

Working On Five Movies With Kristen Stewart Humanized Her For Pattinson

Of course, Pattinson was also starstruck by his Twilight castmate, Kristen Stewart, when he first met her. As Stewart has quite a few movies on her resume prior to joining the cast of Twilight, Pattinson was a bit intimidated by her when he met her at an audition. Taylor Lautner, on the other hand, was only 15 when Pattinson first met him and was less well-known, so Pattinson didnt quite have the same reaction to him as he did to Stewart.

Even though Pattinson saw Stewart as a celebrity initially, working with her over time and throughout five movies, helped humanize her for him. Whereas he never stopped seeing his Harry Potter castmates as celebrities, his Twilight castmates became friends. Pattison also reflected on how special it was that he, Stewart, and Lautner all remained normal and sane despite the massive amounts of fame, attention, and wealth the Twilight movies generated for each of them.

Science Says Robert Pattinson Is The ‘most Handsome Man In The World’

If you have a crush on Robert Pattinson, that’s totally understandable, according to science. That’s because, in February 2020, a study found the actor to be “the most handsome man in the world” after setting out to find the “perfect face,” according to the Daily Mail. Facial cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva made the determination after using modern technology and applying it to ancient standards. He explained, “These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful.”

Pattinson’s particular appearance was picked because when the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi is considered “which is said to measure physical perfection” he came in at an impressive, and aesthetically pleasing, 92.15%. To break it down further, “His eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw, and facial shape were measured against other celebrities and came closest to the ancient Greeks’ idea of perfection.” De Silva noted that “Pattinson was the clear winner.”

Granted, Pattinson wasn’t the only star in the running. Henry Cavill came in second with 91.64%, followed by Bradley Cooper , Brad Pitt , and George Clooney . As for the ladies, Bella Hadid took the top spot, with Beyoncé, Amber Heard, and Ariana Grande coming next. However, as they say, beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

Robert Pattinson Was Expelled From School Over Adult Magazines

Robert Pattinson isn’t exactly the kind of star who’s afraid to do what he wants to get what he wants even if that means not always doing the right thing. That’s apparently part of his charm. In fact, even fellow star Rachel Weisz commented on his non-conforming ways, telling MTV, “He’s got a whole rebel vibe, right? Yeah, that was his vibe. He’s kind of iconoclastic. He’s flaunting authority.” Beyond that, People noted that he’s taken on that same kind of onscreen role when he appeared in “Remember Me” as “an angst-ridden rebel without a cause.” Granted, in real life, he’s a rebel with a cause, according to The Mirror . Indeed, even when he was getting in trouble at a young age, there was still a purpose behind his mischief: money.

Just consider the fact that when Pattinson was 12 years old, he was kicked out of school for an undeniably naughty reason, according to BBC America. Not only was he selling things to other students that he had stolen, but his sales just so happened to involve “adult magazines.”

While opening up about his days as a sticky-fingered young criminal on “The Howard Stern Show” in 2017, Pattinson revealed, “I got so cocky that I would take the entire rack.” Unfortunately for him, he was caught red-handed by an employee of the store who informed his school of what he’d been up to.

Pattinson Chose To Be In Harry Potter Over Going To University

Pattinson was 17 years old when he was cast as Cedric Diggory in the “Harry Potter” franchise.

In a 2017 interview with Time Out London, Pattinson said that he had to choose between his role in”Harry Potter” and attending university.

“It went so far over schedule, I couldn’t go. It was supposed to be four months, but it ended up being 10 or 11,” he said. “I was 17 and I was the only person who wasn’t in school. I’d just hang about.”

The Tiny Role You Never Knew Robert Pattinson Took Before Harry Potter

Before he was the sparkly vampire boyfriend of Bella Swan in “Twilight,”Robert Pattinson was already winning over hearts as Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” But while the “Harry Potter” franchise put the future Batman actor on Hollywood’s radar, it wasn’t actually his first role. Prior to landing the role of Cedric, Pattinson had a tiny role in an entirely different film, but alas, his part was cut from the final version of the movie.

And no, we’re not talking about “Sword of Xanten,” Pattinson fans. Hardcore fans of the popular actor likely know about his appearance in the 2004 German miniseries. After all, it’s the first project he appeared onscreen in before he picked up a broomstick as Cedric. But in between his little-seen miniseries role and “Harry Potter,” the young actor took a brief detour to appear in director Mira Nair’s 2004 adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray’s famed novel “Vanity Fair.”

The lavish period drama boasted an all-star cast including Reese Witherspoon, James Purefoy, Romola Garai, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, and Gabriel Byrne. However, despite an abundance of talented actors and the careful direction of Nair, the movie received middling reviews from critics . Still, given the movie’s high profile cast, it had the potential to be a major moment in Pattinson’s young career. Unfortunately his role was not only cut, no one took the time to tell him he was no longer in the film.

I Have To Say Robert Pattinson’s Role As Cedric Diggory In Harry Potter Is Highly Underrated

Years before he literally dazzled us onscreen as Edward Cullen in Twilight and even before he took on the lead role in The Batman, Robert Pattinson was fighting crime and channeling his supernatural abilities as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. At just 17 years old, Cedric sacrificed himself to Voldemort to give Harry the chance to escape and warn the rest of Hogwarts of the Dark Lord’s return, breaking the hearts of Harry Potter fans around the world in 2005. Despite Cedric’s notable influence in the fourth film, Pattinson’s role is often overshadowed by the legacy of the sparkling stalker vampire he would later go on to play in 2008. Still, I think Pattinson’s role as one of the most memorable wizards in Hufflepuff history deserves credit where credit is due.

If you’ve seen the movies, then you know Cedric doesn’t have many lines. In fact, Pattinson only gets eight minutes of screen time throughout the entire 157-minute film, making it easy for some to overlook his character. But it’s important to remember that Pattinson’s character was a well-liked prefect, captain of the Hufflepuff quidditch team, and chosen as one of four Triwizard Cup champions. From this point, he went to take on the tournament’s three deadly tasks alongside Harry, Beauxbatons’s Fleur Delacour, and Durmstrang’s Viktor Krum, proving himself to be more than just the popular kid or a handsome face.

All Robert Pattinson Movies Ranked By Tomatometer

Every single Robert Pattinson movie ranked from worst to ...

Robert Pattinson on the Twilight series press circuits would occasionally mock the movies he was out there supposedly promoting, suggesting two things: maybe this new on the scene IT boy was actually a genuine person, and he had made enough money by New Moon to never work in this town again. Many young actors careers have been crushed under the weight of the very things that made them famous. And unemployment post-Twilight was a very real threat for Pattinson: Would he only be remembered as that pasty sparkling vegetarian vampire?

As Twilight wound down, Pattinson threw himself before the arthouse gods, who guided him to challenging directors like David Cronenberg , Anton Corbijn , Werner Herzog , and David Michôd . And though none of those movies represented their respective directors best work, and in the case of Herzog it was actually his worst, they showcased Pattinson as a dedicated performer and, especially in dystopian western The Rover, a sometimes unpredictable and savage one.

His latest film was Netflix thriller The Devil All the Time, opposite Tom Holland. And currently a dark night falls upon Pattinsons career as he takes on the mantle of Bruce Wayne in Matt ReevesThe Batman, which is scheduled for an October 21, 2021 release. Before that swings into theaters, take a look at all Robert Pattinson movies, ranked by Tomatometer!
