What Happens At The End Of Harry Potter

Hermione Started Her Ministry Of Magic Career At The Department For The Regulation And Control Of Magical Creatures

Harry potter and the deathly hallows part 2 Ending scene#

In the fourth book of the series, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Hermione formed the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare, also known as S.P.E.W, which was much derided by Ron, and pretty much everybody else, for the entire series. Hermione was appalled at the idea of using elves as slaves, and for the remainder of the series remained committed to working to improve their lives . It makes perfect sense, therefore, that after Hogwarts, she would begin her career at the Ministry of Magic by working for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, where, according to Rowling, she did much to improve their standard of living, as well as fighting for other subjugated creatures. Always ambitious and upwardly mobile, Hermione did not stay forever in the Magical Creatures department, but she certainly made her mark while she was there, as we all would expect her to.

Percy George Bill And Charlie Weasley

Percy Weasley married a woman named Audrey and had two daughters Molly and Lucy. George Weasley married fellow Gryffindor Angelina Johnson and had two children Fred and Roxanne. Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour had three children Victoire, Dominique and Louis. Charlie Weasley ever married to his work with dragons never married nor had children.

Analysis: Why Havent There Been Fifty Shades Of Grey Copycats

This weekend the Fifty Shades franchise is expected to surpass $1 billion in total worldwide box office with the release of the final installment, Fifty Shades Freed. All that income comes from films with an estimated combined budget for all three films of $150 million. The last time Hollywood saw this kind of success with an erotic drama/thriller, it created an entire subgenre that ate its way all through the 90s. Yet, after this year, it seems Valentines Day weekend will be left without a Fifty Shades replacement. So why the hesitancy from Hollywood to step up to the challenge this time?

Connection To Harry Potter And The Half

Chamber of Secrets has many links with the sixth book of the series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In fact, Half-Blood Prince was the working title of Chamber of Secrets and Rowling says she originally intended to present some “crucial pieces of information” in the second book, but ultimately felt “this information’s proper home was book six”. Some objects that play significant roles in Half-Blood Prince first appear in Chamber of Secrets: the Hand of Glory and the opal necklace that are on sale in Borgin and Burkes a Vanishing Cabinet in Hogwarts that is damaged by Peeves the Poltergeist and Tom Riddle’s diary, which is later shown to be a Horcrux. Additionally, these two novels are the ones with the most focus on Harry’s relationship with Ginny Weasley.

The film version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was released in 2002.Chris Columbus directed the film, and the screenplay was written by Steve Kloves. It became the third film to exceed $600 million in international box office sales, preceded by Titanic, released in 1997, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, released in 2001. The film was nominated for a Saturn Award for the Best Fantasy Film, According to Metacritic, the film version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets received “generally favourable reviews” with an average score of 63%, and another aggregator, Rotten Tomatoes, gave it a score of 82%.

Brothers Against The World

The End of Harry Potter? by David Langford

Ron spent two years with Harry at The Ministry Of Magic’s Auror Department. He then decided to go to Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes so he could be with his brother George, who still would be struggling in the wake of his twin’s passing. Family, of course, was important to all the Weasleys.

They had all stuck together through thick and thin, despite Percy’s brief superiority moment.

Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, of course, was probably the best store in the whole of Diagon Alley. If I ever found myself there, that would be my first stop. Ron stated that he wanted to help George with the shop that he had always loved, and as a team, Ron and George made the business a money-spinning sensation.

Was It All In His Head

There’s a popular fan theory that everything that happened to Harry Potter outside of Privet Drive was a mental machination of his young, abused mind, and Deathly Hallows did little to dispel that theory. In fact, while at the heavenly version of King’s Cross Station, Harry asked Dumbledore if it was all in his mind and his headmaster told him that it was, but that didn’t make it any less real.

So, was the entirety of the Harry Potter universe fiction, coming from the imagination of a desperate boy who lived under the stairs and who wished for something more? Very possibly so.

Weekend Predictions: Divergent Opinions On The New Releases

Another week, another pair of wide releases. Thats becoming a common thing to say. It is also a good thing to say, because too many movies tend to hurt all films involved and it is much better to have one big release and the counter-programing film. This week the big release is Divergent, which the studio is hoping will be the start of a new franchise. The box office tracking for the film looks good, even if the reviews do not. The counter-programing this week is Muppets Most Wanted, which is also opening with a saturation level theater count and it looks to do as well as The Muppets did. Last year there was also a strong one-two punch with The Croods topping Olympus has Fallen $43.64 million to $30.37 million. Im not sure that Muppets Most Wanted will hold up its end of the bargain, but Divergent is poised for an opening of at least $50 million. It looks likes 2014 will again win over 2013. More

Thursday Night Previews: Fantastic Doesnt Quite Live Up To Its Name With $875 Million

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them pulled in $8.75 million during its midnight shows last night. Thats good, but a little lower than expected and not even the best of the fall so far. It was beaten by Doctor Strange, which earned $9.4 million just two weeks ago. Worse still, Fantastic Beastsreviews have fallen to 74% positive. Thats still good for a blockbuster release, but it is the lowest in the Harry Potter franchise and will likely hurt the films box office performance over the weekend. It should still make over $80 million this weekend, but it will be close. We might have to revise that prediction lower tomorrow when we have Fridays estimates. More

Why The Sword Of Gryffindor Showed Up In The Sorting Hat A Second Time

The Ending Of Harry Potter Finally Explained

One of the best moments in this film is when Neville is finally able to show his true mettle. As part of that, he pulls the Sword of Gryffindor out of the Sorting Hat. Of course, this has happened before in the course of the films, and its probably because theres a fundamental link between the sword and the hat.

However, theres not a lot of explanation for why this should be the case, and so it probably left a few viewers wondering what on earth was going on.

Snape Was Remembered As Headmaster:

Despite the conspicuous absence of Snapes portrait during Harrys final visit to Hogwarts headmasters office in The Deathly Hallows, Rowling has explained that Harry would make sure his sacrifice was not forgotten.

Snape had effectively abandoned his post before dying, so he had not merited inclusion in these august circles, she said during a web chat. However, I like to think that Harry would be instrumental in ensuring that Snapes portrait would appear there in due courseHarry would ensure that Snapes heroism was known.

The Filmmakers Wanted Harry To Fight Snape Instead Of Mcgonagall

In the books, Minerva McGonagall takes on her former colleague in a Hogwarts corridor alongside Professors Sprout and Flitwick, while Harry and Luna Lovegood hide under the invisibility cloak.

The filmmakers wanted to change this so that Harry is the one who fights Snape, but couldn’t clear it with Rowling. Rowling saw this moment as a defining one for McGonagall and so insisted that the filmmakers stick with McGonagall versus Snape, even if the locations and scene were changed.

Waving Off The Next Generation

Like we all saw for a brief few moments at the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry, Ron, and Hermione took the journey to Platform 9 and 3/4 to wave off their children. Hermione and Ron waved their daughter Rose off to her first year, Ron, of course, encouraging his daughter to become a Gryffindor and to beat Scorpius Malfoy at everything. Hermione scolded him and told him not to make them enemies before they even arrived at Hogwarts. Draco arrived with his wife Astoria and son Scorpius, who at Hogwarts would often try to get the attention of Rose. However, Scorpius and Albus struck up a lifelong friendship. Lily Luna, Harry’s daughter, showed the same enthusiasm as her mother all those years ago waving her brothers off to Hogwarts.

Ginny Is A Sports Reporter For The Daily Prophet

What happens in the end of harry potter David Langford ...

When Ginny and Harry decided to start a family, Ginny retired from playing Quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies, and took a position instead as a Senior Sports Reporter for the Daily Prophet. Essentially, Ginny followed a fairly standard career trajectory for professional athletes. In 2014, while the Muggle World was watching the football/soccer World Cup, the Wizarding World was watching the Quidditch World Cup. J.K. Rowling wrote a few stories on her site Pottermore in the voice of Rita Skeeter and Ginny Potter , who were both reporting on the match. One of Ginnys articles reports on a fight between the two teams mascots which resulted in over 300 injured crowd-members. J.K. Rowling also live-blogged the final match, with commentary alternating between Rita Skeeters voice, which focused on Dumbledores Army in the VIP box, and Ginnys voice, which was focused far more on the actual match.

Luna Married Newt Scamanders Grandson Rolf Scamander And Became A Famous Naturalist

Fans might have wanted to see Luna Lovegood marry fellow oddball and black sheep, Neville Longbottom, but it was not to be. Luna eventually married Rolf Scamander, the grandson of the famous Newt Scamander, who will be portrayed by Eddie Redmayne in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is hitting theaters this November. After school and The Battle of Hogwarts, Luna Lovegood became a celebrated naturalist and traveled the world looking for rare creatures. Unfortunately for her, she never did find a Crumple-Horned Snorkack, and was eventually forced to admit that perhaps that one at least was made up. According to Rita Skeeters Daily Prophet columns, Luna continued to embrace avant-garde fashion, and her wedding dress was apparently voted by her readers as The Most Hideous Outfit of the Year. At the 2014 Quidditch World Cup, she wore a dress made of the flags of all of the qualifying countries. Her twin sons, Lorcan and Lysander, she reportedly left at home for the event.

Why Mrs Weasleys Killing Of Bellatrix Is So Overdone

a better end to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Likewise, the killing of Bellatrix Lestrange is another of those moments that seems to be just a bit too much. In the book, its a truly great scene, as Molly leaps to the defense of her daughter and slays the witch who has been the cause of so much heartache.

In the film version, she inexplicably freezes Bellatrix in some kind of spell and then breaks her apart. Its just…a strange way to show this scene, and no doubt left many fans scratching their heads in confusion.

He Didn’t Need The Resurrection Stone

Upon going gentle into that good night, Harry awakened in what appeared to be a milky white vision of King’s Cross Station, where he’d hopped onto Platform 9¾ so many times before. Dumbledore awaited him with news that he’d successfully killed off the part of Voldemort that remained inside of him in the process of dying, and that he had a choice to board a train back to the realm of the living or to just move on … to where, he didn’t say.

Harry, knowing his battle wasn’t done, opted for the former. He left behind the scaly, fetal version of Voldemort that had infected his brain for so long, and used his perceived death to gain an advantage as Hagrid carried him back to the school, with an unknowing Voldemort bragging about his conquest to garner new recruits from the ravaged student pool.

Harry Potters Height In The Movies

It turns out that the young wizard is actually a bit shorter in the movies than in the books.

This is because Daniel Radcliffe is shorter, not because of any stylistic or narrative decision on the part of the producers and directors.

As a boy, Daniel was the perfect candidate to play the main role in the series throughout all eight movies.

Likely, the audience wouldnt realize how tall he was, especially when various scene perspectives could make him seem taller.

As it happens, the relative heights of all the other characters are very similar when compared to the books and the movies.

That keeps just about everything consistent even with some changes.

It appears that the growth was fairly consistent throughout each movie, starting only a bit shorter when compared to the first book.

When the actor became an adult and during the final movie, Daniel Radcliffe attained a height of five feet and five inches.

Its quite a bit lower than average in more northern countries such as England, but its not too far below the global average.

The Quidditch World Cup

  • The Veela mascots are omitted from the film entirely, while Leprechauns as mascots was minimised heavily. Instead, the Irish National Quidditch team creates a glittering firework of a leprechaun, which is obliterated by the Bulgarian National Quidditch team flying through it.
  • The film only shows the teams entering the pitch and Fudge starting the match, with just a vague reference in the following scenes as to who won the match .
  • The Weasleys only stand in the normal areas and not in the Top Box, and appear to support both sides.
  • Narcissa Malfoy does not appear in the film.
  • The scene in which the Death Eaters attack the camp is slightly different:
  • In the film, the family is already awake and dancing around the tent, while in the book, they are all asleep until Arthur Weasley goes and wakes them up.
  • It was originally filmed with Arthur needing to go and wake people up.

Alan Rickman Knew About Snape’s Backstory Years Before This Film

Severus Snape has one of the most intriguing backstories, revealed in flashbacks via the Pensieve in the last act of this movie. But author JK Rowling actually told Snape actor Alan Rickman all about his character’s history years before the final movie was ever shot.

In January 2016, four days after Rickman’s death, Rowling explained that she told Rickman about the meaning behind the word “always,” a now-iconic Snape quote.
