Michael Gambon Was Chosen To Replace Him After Four Months
The death of Harris meant that producers needed to find a replacement for the role of Professor Dumbledore. The character would have to be recast as he played such an important role in the story. After four months, Warner Bros. revealed that Michael Gambon would be taking over the part in Prisoner of Azkaban.
Ron Weasley And Hermione Granger
Aberforth met Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger in 1998, before the Battle of Hogwarts. As Ron and Hermione were Harry’s friends, they visited Hogsmeade in order to get into Hogwarts. Aberforth helped them, while telling them the story of his family life. Ron and Hermione were both shocked and highly sympathetic to his plight. They later fought at the Battle of Hogwarts with Aberforth and they all survived the war. It is possible that they remained in contact later on.
Dumbledores Life Of Regrets
Aberforth may have been angry at his brother, believing that he never truly cared about what happened to his mother and sister or about the rift between the two siblings, but that couldnt have been further from the truth. Beyond eschewing an important Ministry of Magic job and flying relatively under the radar, Dumbledore lived with momentous regrets about his loved ones.
During Sorcerers Stone, when Harry discovers the Mirror of Erised a mirror that shows your deepest desire he asks Dumbledore what the elder wizard sees in the mirror, and Dumbledore responds that he sees socks, a gift he always wants for Christmas, but Harry gets the feeling that Dumbledore may not have been telling the truth. Later, when the two are trying to procure one of Voldemorts Horcruxes from a secret cave, Dumbledore drinks a potion to unearth the horrible magical item, screaming to Harry to hurt him rather than them. As Harry later tells Aberforth, it was clear that Dumbledore was a haunted man, and the them he was crying out for was his lost family.

The real truth of the events that transpired is still widely debated, but one question thats never been answered is a pretty major one: who actually killed Ariana Dumbledore?
If Dumbledore accidentally killed Ariana in the confusion of the duel, the Elder Wands allegiance would have then shifted to him.

What Is This Creature And Who Does It Have In Its Clutches
In this shot, it looks like were encountering a new beast, soaring through a rainforest or jungle area. Its not like anything we have come across before. Its like a cross between a bird and a dinosaur with magnificent red wings. At the very least, its no Muggle creature. It appears to have someone in the clutches of its long tail too. Who is that? Could it be Newt? And where are they? Surely there are more appropriate methods of transportation…
Fantastic Beasts 3 4 And 5 Plot: How Will Fantastic Beasts End
If we assume that we’re going to get three more movies of the series, here’s what was originally planned for the spin-off.
Rowling has said that the films will cover 19 years of Wizarding World history. That will take the last one up to 1945, the year that Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald and claimed the Elder Wand from him.
That was also the year that a certain Tom Riddle graduated from Hogwarts.
All that considered, it seems unlikely that the fifth movie won’t feature the climactic battle between Dumbledore and his former friend. Credence could also turn out to play an important role in their struggle, especially if the theory that Dumbledore’s sister Ariana was another Obscurial turns out to be true.
That 19-year period also covers the birth of Voldemort and the actions surrounding the creation of his first Horcruxes.
Theseus was known to be corresponding with Percival Graves, the director of magical security for the US magical government MACUSA, which put Newt’s brother in contact with Grindelwald, who had assumed Graves’s identity.
That considered, his outlook might be quite different to Newt’s. Could that put them on opposite sides of Grindelwald’s coming war?
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is set for release in UK cinemas on April 8, 2022 and in US cinemas on April 15, 2022.

Camelot A Man Called Horse
Harris next performed the role of King Arthur in the film adaptation of the musical play Camelot . Critic Roger Ebert described the casting of Harris and Vanessa Redgrave as “about the best King Arthur and Queen Guenevere I can imagine”. Harris revived the role in a Broadway revival at the Winter Garden Theatre from 15 November 1981, to 2 January 1982, and broadcast on HBO a year later. Starring Meg Bussert as Guenevere, Richard Muenz as Lancelot and Thor Fields as Tom of Warwick. Harris, who had starred in the film, and Muenz also took the show on tour nationwide.
In The Molly Maguires , he played James McParland, the detective who infiltrates the title organisation, headed by Sean Connery. It was a box office flop. However A Man Called Horse , with Harris in the title role, an 1825 English aristocrat who is captured by Native Americans, was a major success.
Credence Has A New Look
Is that a phoenix that is flying towards Credence? Is that a sign that Grindelwald wasnt lying to him, and he is, in fact, Aurelius Dumbledore, as was revealed at the end of the last film? Phoenixes are meant to be drawn to that family. However, all that aside, the most important thing we spy in this clip is Credences new hairdo. Just look at those long, flowing locks! He looks far removed from the scared young man we met in the first instalment.

Dumbledore’s Great Lost Love
Dumbledore’s teenage friendship with Grindelwald was actually a little more than he bargained for initially the two were secretly in a relationship, though J.K. Rowling has explained that Dumbledore’s strong feelings may not have been fully reciprocated when she announced, after the books ended, that Dumbledore was actually gay.
The great tragedy of Dumbledore’s sexuality is that he seemingly never got the chance to live his truth and express himself in any healthy relationship. Though the two carried on a very physical affair, Dumbledore had to come face to face with the man he loved and overcome him once and for all. In the 1940s, Dumbledore dueled Grindelwald, ending a wizarding war and taking down a wizard who turned out to be the face of ultimate evil . In the wake of Grindelwald’s defeat, Dumbledore ascended to the position of headmaster at Hogwarts. Rowling later said, “He lost his moral compass completely when he fell in love and I think subsequently became very mistrustful of his own judgement in those matters so became quite asexual. He led a celibate and a bookish life.”
Dramione Irl Its Love But Platonic
Dramione fans: The truth is now out there.
Watson and Tom Felton have a lot of love for one another. But it’s all platonic, the two said.
Still, young Watson found herself crushing on Felton in an unrequited way.
“I walked into the room we were having tutoring,” she said. “The assignment was to draw what you thought God looked like. Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And I just fell in love with him.”
After that, she said she “used to look for his number on call sheet.”
“If his number was on the call sheet it was an extra exciting day,” she said.
But, “he was three years above me and for him, he was like, youre like my little sister,” Watson said.
Felton said he and Watson have “always loved each other really.”
“Ive always had a soft spot for her and it continues to this day,” he said. “Theres always been something like a kinship.”
Watson said she felt she was able to be her most vulnerable with Felton. Still, she emphasized, “nothing has ever ever happened romantically with us. We just love each other, thats all I can say about that.”

Tom Riddle Hero Fiennes Tiffin/christian Coulson/frank Dillane

Diary!Tom Riddle in Chamber of Secrets was played by Christian Coulson . He made multiple television appearances over the years, including Gossip Girl, The Good Wife, and multi-episode arcs in The Good Wife and Mozart in the Jungle.

Verne Troyer As Griphook
The casting of the Harry Potter films was limited to British thespiansa rule so strict it even forced producers to turn down Robin Williams for the role of Hagridbut Verne Troyer became the rare exception when he was cast as the Gringotts banker Griphook in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Troyer was the only American actor with a major role in the film, but the character was voiced by his English co-star Warwick Davis, who also portrayed Professor Flitwick and another bank teller in the film.
By the time Griphook became more significant to the story in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Davis took over the role completely. Davis later explained his decision to seek out the role. “Griphook has so much more depth to him than I’d ever been able to get into my work as Professor Flitwick. So, I went in and read for David Yates and the casting director, and gave them a best shot, David left a message that I’d got the part.”
Sir Ian Mckellen Reveals Why He Turned Down Playing Dumbledore In Harry Potter
Few wizards are as beloved as Gandalf the Grey from Lord of the Rings or Professor Dumbledore from the Harry Potter movies, and it turns out that Sir Ian McKellen almost played both. In an interview with the BBC, the acclaimed actor shared how he was approached to take on the role of the Hogwarts headmaster, and explained why he turned down the part. Warning, spicy wizard drama ahead.
McKellen famously played the role of Gandalf in Peter Jackson’s adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkiens literary epics, The Lord of The Rings, and The Hobbit. His performances have earned him a massive following, and the title of a fantasy movie legend. However, not everyone was a fan of his acting style. The late Richard Harris the first Dumbledore actor was publicly critical of McKellen, calling his work technically brilliant, but passionless. Although McKellen said Harris opinion was nonsense, it apparently played a part in the actors decision to stay clear of Hogwarts.
In 2002 Richard Harris passed away in between filming Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, and Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. With McKellen proving his wizarding chops in Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring , he was obviously approached to take over the role of Dumbledore but ultimately turned down the opportunity due to Harris feelings on his craft.

Camelot Again And Henry Iv
For a while in the 1980s, Harris went into semi-retirement on Paradise Island, in the Bahamas, where he kicked his drinking habit and embraced a healthier lifestyle. It had a beneficial effect. Harris’s career was revived by his success on stage in Camelot, and powerful in the West End run of Pirandello’sHenry IV.
His film work during this period included: Triumphs of a Man Called Horse , , Strike Commando 2 , King of the Wind and Mack the Knife plus the TV film version of Maigret, opposite Barbara Shelley. This indicated declining popularity which Harris told his biographer, Michael Feeney Callan, he was “utterly reconciled to”.
Gambon Wanted To Ensure He Did Not Impersonate Richard Harris In The Role
One of the first things that Michael Gambon made clear to the cast and crew was that he was going to have his own take on the character. He had no wish to or interest in simply doing an impersonation of Richard Harris. He explained that actors always want to try new things with characters rather than do what has been done before.

Dumbledore’s More Modest Career Path
In the aftermath of Ariana’s tragic death, Dumbledore’s need for power wholly abated as he later told Harry, he didn’t think he should be trusted with power after his friendship with Grindelwald ruined his family. Turning down repeated offers to take the ultimate seat of power and become Minister for Magic, Dumbledore turned instead to his true love: teaching.
As one of the most intelligent and learned wizards in history, it makes sense that Dumbledore would want to share his wisdom with young witches and wizards, and he returned to teach both Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration throughout his early tenure at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As the Transfiguration teacher, Dumbledore encountered a curious young student named Tom Riddle, whom he immediately recognized as a talented yet foreboding presence. Of course, that student would grow up to become Lord Voldemort, Dumbledore’s biggest adversary besides Grindelwald.

Richard Bremmer As Voldemort
When Lord Voldemort first appeared on-screen in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, there wasn’t much for the actor portraying him to do. After all, he was hidden behind Professor Quirrell’s turban throughout the story, and even when he did emerge at the tail end of the movie, his face was still superimposed on the back of someone’s skull. Richard Bremmer did what he could with the abbreviated role, but wasn’t surprised when he wasn’t invited back for the character’s next major movie outing in the fourth film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, by which time the Dark Lord’s power reached its peak .
“The producers spent a long time fighting to get me so I’m very proud to have been the first. But the role is now being played by Ralph Fiennes, who is an old mate, in the fourth film,” he later explained . “I’ve been in the business a long time and it didn’t surprise me they just went for a bigger name, being Hollywood led, and I’m happy to pass it on to Ralph.” Fiennes was already an A-lister with Oscar nominations for Schindler’s List and The English Patient by the time the first film came out, so it’s no surprise that the filmmakers didn’t seek him out for that brief CGI appearance.
