So His Surprise Would Be Genuine He Was Purposely Kept From Seeing The Great Hall Until Harry Saw It For The First Time On Camera
The first time Harry is taken into the Hogwarts Great Hall in the first movie, he is completely mesmerized. And the look on his face isnt just acting. Radcliffe and the rest of the cast were purposely kept from seeing the Great Hall until their characters saw it for the first time on screen, so their reactions would be genuine.

The Heartwarming Reason Daniel Radcliffe And Emma Watson Lost Concentration On Harry Potter Set
Harry Potter is how old?!
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint first made their film debuts in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the first movie adaptation in the beloved series.
Back in 2001, the movie based on the best-selling books byJ.K. Rowling hit theaters across the world and audiences fell in love with the movie about an orphaned boy who enrolls in a school of wizardry.
Director Chris Columbus recently told Variety that the initial filming experience with the child actors playing Harry, Hermione and Ron was not necessarily magical. “In the first film, there was not a lot of professional experience between the three leads. That’s why that film was filled with so many cuts. I could only really shoot, for the first three months, a close up of one of the actors before they would lose concentration,” Chris said in the article. “The first couple of weeks, all the kids were so excited to be part of the Harry Potter film, they were basically just smiling into the cameras. I couldn’t get them to stop smiling, and it really became an exercise and acting class for me as a director.”
Two decades later, Harry Potter is still close to fan’s hearts. And by the sound of it, the film series is still something that means a lot to the cast and crew behind the franchise.

Dont Expect To See The Old Harry Potter Again
Earlier this month, Radcliffe told the Happy Sad Confused podcast that if he were to play any other character in the series, he would want to play Harrys brave and beloved godfather Sirius Black or werewolf-bitten former Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Remus Lupin . Radcliffe was speaking completely hypothetically, but he piqued fans interest. And so, in a new interview with Sirius XM, Radcliffe was asked if after his comments on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, any Wizarding World producer called him up to gauge his interest in returning to the franchise.
No, that has not happened, Radcliffe said. He said that theres always talk and speculation about how he might return to the franchise, but thats all just driven by the media and not based in anything thats actually happening, and hes never been contacted by anyone about any future Harry Potter films. So I dont think its something that is coming, he said. But he added that now that he has said that publicly, hes brought it upon himself now, and someone will surely get in touch with him about something.

Harry Potter Fame Wasnt Easy For Daniel Radcliffe
Not only were Daniel Radcliffe and his co-stars, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, faced with the task of playing some of the most popular book series characters in the world at the time, they were having to face the spotlight from worldwide fame before they became teenagers.
Radcliffes massive success at an early age sprung him to stardom but also exposed him to heavy scrutiny. In an interview with the show, Off Camera with Sam Jones, Radcliffe detailed how he would feel watched whenever hed go out with friends as a teenager. Part of the thing is the expectation that you should just be delighted all the time, you know? he said. You have a great job, youre wealthy. You dont have a right to ever feel sad or to not be, like, excited about the whole thing all the time. I think thats a pressure as well. He turned to alcohol, admitting that he would show up some days to the Harry Potter sets drunk. I can honestly say I never drank at work on Harry Potter, Radcliffe said in an interview. I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work. He added, I can point to many scenes where Im just gone. Dead behind the eyes.
But Radcliffe has since quit drinking and with help from his parents and friends has learned to cope with the downsides of fame. The actor has also moved away from Harry Potter-esque characters, taking roles in comedies like Miracle Workers and the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt TV movie.

Is Radcliffe The Wealthiest Harry Potter Cast Member
It turns out that being the face of a record-breaking franchise has its perks. With his net worth of $110 million, Radcliffe is indeed the wealthiest Harry Potter cast member. Surprisingly, his costars Watson and Grint arent right behind him. One former cast mate of Radcliffes is the second-wealthiest cast member with a net worth of $100 million: Robert Pattinson, who played Cedric Diggory in Goblet of Fire and went on to star as Edward Cullen in the Twilight films. Watson is next at $85 million, followed by Helena Bonham-Carter and Sir Kenneth Branagh with $60 million each. Grint follows them with $50 million.
Radcliffe doesnt have to work another day in his life if he doesnt want to, which is a nice reward after all the hard work he put into making the Harry Potter films some of the most successful of all time.

Daniel Radcliffe Admits Hes Intensely Embarrassed By His Acting In Harry Potter
Its hard to separate my relationship with Harry from my relationship with the films as a whole.
Daniel Radcliffe is one of Hollywoods record breaking child actors who had the odd experience of having their childhood flash before the big screens through our fave wizard Harry Potter movies. The talented actor was a mere 11 years old when the first trilogy Sorcerers Stone came out, and as we all now and love, he goes on to portray the role alongside Emma Watson, Rupert Grint for the past decade.
However, we all know how its like being an award kid, doing rather peculiar and weird things, now double that, imagine having it all recorded and plastered in cinemas all over the world. Which at times bring certain feelings that emerge when looking back on those times, some even embarrassing for Radcliffe.

Flight Of The Fat Lady
- While the book has Peeves describe Sirius Blacks attack on the Fat Ladys portrait after learning about this from her when he saw her in a portrait on the fourth floor, in the film it was the Fat Lady herself that described the attack from a nearby portrait.
- In the book, while Harry cannot go to Hogsmeade and stays with Lupin, they spend their time in his office and Harry sees a Grindylow which Lupin was taking delivery of for their next lesson, while in the film, they are talking on the Wooden Bridge after apparently meeting there. This difference creates a continuity error in the seventh film when Lupin interrogates Harry after the Battle of the Seven Potters holding his wand to Harrys face and asking him what creature sat in the corner the first time Harry Potter visited my office in Hogwarts. A deleted scene is assumed to show this, before the two of them went for a walk on the Wooden Bridge.
Professor Mcgonagoll Maggie Smith
The actress who played Dumbledores right-hand man has slowed down her Hollywood career after Harry Potter. Still, shes had some big roles: She co-starred in the Downton Abbey TV series as the hilarious Violet Crawley, and will appear in the upcoming movie. She also starred in the two The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel films as well as 2015s The Lady in the Van.
