How Many Movies Did Harry Potter Make

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2

How Much MONEY Did the Harry Potter Films Make? (2001 – 2018)

The final film in the Harry Potter franchise, Deathly Hallows: Part 2 was the highest-grossing film of the year in 2011 and actually grossed over $1 billion, setting opening weekend records in the likes of India, Australia, and Mexico.

The movie was also incredibly well-reviewed, with this being an ending that fit the franchise and didn’t let anybody down, raising the stakes incredibly high with some epic battle scenes as Hogwarts became a war zone.

With huge spiders and giants roaming around, the movie certainly cost plenty, but it was money well spent with it grossing more than any other film in the franchise, with a final box office of $381 million.

Why Did Harry Drop The Resurrection Stone In The Harry Potter Movie

I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows when I came across the scene wherein Harry falls the resurrection stone in the forest. I was a bit surprised because of why he did it. So I stopped reading the books and searched for the same on the internet.

I found that the question was not only asked by me, but many harry potter fans were also asking the same to themselves. So I thought to find the answer to this intriguing question, and I did it. I had the answer to the question, why did Harry drop the resurrection stone in the forest.

A Resurrection Stone has been one of the Hallows inside the Potter Series. These three magical objects together make up the Cloak of Invisibility. It was introduced in the second book, and Harry came into possession of it in the seventh book.

The stone was used to bring people back from the dead, but it had a heavy toll: the user had to sacrifice part of their soul each time someone was resurrected. In the final battle against Voldemort, Harry decides to Drop the Resurrection Stone. This article explores three possible reasons why Harry may have decided to abandon the Resurrection Stone.

Vincent Crabbe Jamie Waylett

Wayletts only acting roles were in the Harry Potter. He does not, however, get to boast having been in every Potter film, as his time was cut just short and he did not appear in either Deathly Hallows film. In 2009, Waylett was charged with possession of cannabis, and was sentenced to 120 hours of community service. Most recently he was arrested for participation in the 2011 England riots, and was sentenced to two years in prison.

Uncle Vernon Richard Griffiths

Richard Griffiths perfectly portrayed the narrow-minded, unsympathetic Vernon Dursley, right up until his last appearance in Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Before his passing in 2013, he also appeared in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film, On Stranger Tides, Hugo, and in The Hollow Crown, the BBCs adaptation of Shakespeares historical tetralogy.

The Castle Is In Scotland

Not many know the exact location of Hogwarts, and there’s a reason for it. Hogwarts has dozens upon dozens of spells protecting the location of the school. Some of the spells were designed with the intent of protecting the students, while others were designed to keep muggles away. It’s unlikely that Hogwarts will ever appear on any map, and interesting things would likely occur if a satellite tried to take an image of the area though it probably wouldn’t get the image it wanted. We do know that Hogwarts resides somewhere in Scotland, but not much else. It does help to keep the mystery alive, not knowing the exact location of the school.

How To Watch The Harry Potter Movies In Release Order

How Much Did JK Rowling Make From Harry Potter?!

There are no complicated interweaving timelines to deal with if you watch the Potter movies in release date order. Its two distinct series, with an incomplete set of prequels following on from the parent franchise.

That means theres no need to introduce any kind of Star Wars-style ‘Machete Order’ just yet. But, if we get some massive revelation in Fantastic Beasts 3, 4 and 5, that may change.

Its also interesting to note that there are more Harry Potter movies than there are books, with final novel The Deathly Hallows split into two parts because there was so much story to fit in.

  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone
  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
  • Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
  • Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
  • Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Weekend Predictions: Will Fantastic Be Fantastic Or Will It Merely Be A Beast At The Box Office

At the beginning of the month, we thought there would be four wide releases / expansions this week. However, it turns out there will be just one, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The lack of wide releases should help it at the box office and there is a small chance it could top $100 million over the next three days. While there are no other wide releases, there are a few films opening or expanding semi-wide. Of these, The Edge of Seventeen is the only one with a realistic shot at the top five. It is earning the best reviews of the week and did earn a lot of film festival buzz, so that should help. Billy Lynns Long Halftime Walk had an amazing opening in limited release last weekend, but it will likely struggle as it expands into just over 1,000 theaters this weekend. Finally theres Bleed for This, which is expected to barely make the top ten. This weekend last year, the final installment of the Hunger Games franchise opened with just over $100 million. Theres a slim chance Fantastic Beasts will do the same. Even if it doesnt, the depth this year is much better than last year and that should help 2016 win in the year-over-year comparison. More…

Mrs Weasley Julie Walters

Everyones favorite Wizarding World mom ended her Harry Potter career on a high note. Molly Weasley survived the final film, and had one of the most iconic lines in the series, Not my daughter, you bitch! Unsurprisingly, Walters acting career never faltered post-HP. She continued to star in many UK-centric projects including The Hollow Crown, both Paddington films, Brooklyn, , as well as both Mamma Mia films.

Harry Potter: 12 Facts About The Hogwarts Castle The Movies Leave Out

The Harry Potter movies couldn’t possibly fit in every detail, since the books have so much detail meaning they left a lot about Hogwarts.

The Harry Potter movies were astounding and brought even more fans into the fandom. Coming in at eight movies, a total run-time of 1,178 minutes. And that’s not counting the Fantastic Beasts movies. Yet even if the movies had been twice as long, they never could have contained every detail the books revealed. There were plenty of details left out of the movies, from characters, to rules, to entire subplots.

Hogwarts is a complex and intimidating castle, at times. Yet the movies didn’t even scratch the surface of what truly goes on within Hogwarts, or all of the hidden mysteries it contains.

Weekend Prediction: Is Grindelwald Committing Crimes Against The Harry Potter Franchise

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the latest installment in the Harry Potter franchise, but sadly, its reviews are, by far, the worst in the franchise. It should still have no trouble earning first place and will very likely break even just on its international numbers, but this is still troubling for its future. The second biggest release of the week is Instant Family and its reviews are good, but not great. They are certainly fine for a family comedy. Widows is the best-reviewed new release, but its buzz is quiet enough that it will barely finish in the top five. Meanwhile, A Private War is expanding nationwide and that could help it earn a spot in the top ten, but I wouldnt bet on it. This weekend last year, Justice League opened with $93.84 million, while Wonder debuted in second place with $27.55 million. Add in The Stars $9.81 million opening and the three wide releases pulled in $130 million. Theres no way the new releases this year will match that and 2018 will likely lose in the year-over-year comparison. More…

25 Behind The Scenes Secrets From The Harry Potter Movies

As with the Harry Potter books, opinions on which entries in the series are the best are incredibly varied and subjective. As a result, ranking the Harry Potter movies by their IMDb user scores reveals a remarkable consistency in fan response, with all eight instalments clustered between 7.4 and 8.1 out of 10.

The two Fantastic Beasts movies are noticeably the least loved releases spawned from JK Rowling’s Wizarding World, a fact perhaps reflected by the second movie’s near 20% drop at the box office compared to its predecessor .

The more successful of the two, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, made less money than all-but-one of the Potter movies . But, seeing as it had 12 years of inflation on its side, its debatable whether it actually outperformed the earlier film.
