They Took A Family Trip In 2014
Ginny may have had her shining moment during the 2014 Quidditch World Cup, but Harry was also there, along with their three children. During the match, Rita Skeeter, before taking ill, kept her eyes on the VIP box where the Potter family and friends were seated.
During that time, Albus, eight years old, nearly toppled out of the VIP box, with Ron saving him the last minute.
Harry merely passed a treat from Luna to his son, apparently unconcerned. During the match, it was revealed that Harry was sporting a cut, courtesy of his work with the Auror Department. He also introduced to his children to his friend Viktor Krum at some point as well.
Quidditch Was Based On Basketball
Quidditch, the sport of choice at Hogwarts, resembles flying lacrosse in the Harry Potter films. One might imagine that the British Rowling thought of cricket when creating the game. After all, the Quidditch brooms look a little bit like bats. Actually, her inspiration was the all-American basketball. In her Amazon interview, Rowling explained, I wanted a sport for wizards, and I’d always wanted to see a game where there was more than one ball in play at the same time. The idea just amused me. The Muggle sport it most resembles is basketball, which is probably the sport I enjoy watching most.
Thanks to the popularity of the books, Quidditch has become an actual sport, with teams at many universities and its own world cup tournament. Rowling approves since she put a lot of effort into making it a fully realized sport: I had a lot of fun making up the rules and I’ve still got the notebook I did it in, complete with diagrams, and all the names for the balls I tried before I settled on Snitch, Bludgers and Quaffle.

In 1996, Harry and Hermione Granger, in an attempt to lure Dolores Umbridge into a trap in the Forbidden Forest, took the path towards Aragog’s colony, but the immediate danger of running into Aragog’s children was avoided when the local Centaurs intercepted them.

That same year, Aragog contracted an unknown illness over the summer, and despite Hagrid’s attempts to heal and comfort Aragog by feeding him giant grubs, he eventually died on 20 April, 1997. Before this time, it had been dangerous for Hagrid to go and visit Aragog because, sensing the giant spider’s weakness, his family was getting rather restive and possibly preparing to devour him . When Aragog died, Hagrid was able to get Aragog’s corpse out of the colony before his children could attempt to cannibalise his corpse, though barely as they would no longer hold back in an attempt to devour Hagrid. Aragog was buried in a deep pit near Hagrid’s house the next evening. Aragog’s funeral was attended by Hagrid, Harry, and Professor Horace Slughorn, who took the opportunity to “acquire” Aragog’s highly valuable venom.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1
After unexpected events at the end of the previous year, Harry, Ron, and Hermione are entrusted with a quest to find and destroy Lord Voldemort’s secret to immortality the Horcruxes. It is supposed to be their final year at Hogwarts, but the collapse of the Ministry of Magic and Voldemort’s rise to power prevents them from attending. The trio undergo a long journey with many obstacles in their path including Death Eaters, Snatchers, the mysterious Deathly Hallows, and Harry’s connection with the Dark Lord’s mind becoming ever stronger.

An Insult To Sirius Blacks Memory
And yet now hes decided to relegate his godfathers name as a mere middle name for his son where the chances of it even being mentioned are slim to none. After all, how many call Harry by his middle name? Obviously, Harrys son would be known as James most, if not all, of the time.
I dont get why Harry had to do that. Really, why couldnt he have named his other son as Sirius? Then he could have just tacked on other names for the middle names of said sons.
Lily Luna Potter = The Only Name Harry And Ginny Got Right
As for their daughter, Lily Luna, I think the name is just fine. I dont really have anything to say about it. I like the name Luna , after all, though Im not all that fond of the name Lily.

Do Portkeys Run On A Timetable
When Harry and the Weasleys are going to watch the Quidditch World Cup, they take a Portkey to the campground for the event. There are apparently multiple Portkeys set up around the country for wizards, and they have to rush in order to be “on time” to “catch” the Portkey. From this, it seems like they are set up like trains or buses, and are only active at specific times. However, the Portkey that Voldemort uses to transport Harry to him at the end of the Triwizard Tournament couldnt have been timed this way. It must have been enchanted to work only when in the maze , but Voldemort couldnt have known exactly what time Harry would reach the cup so how did he ensure that the Portkey was active at precisely the right time?
Its possible that some Portkeys have a wider window than others, of course. In this case, the World Cup Portkeys had a very small window to prevent an unsuspecting Muggle from using it, and the Triwizard Cup would have had a wider window to cover the entire time that the contestants were in the maze. Its more likely, however, that this is just another useful element to Voldemorts ridiculously convoluted plot to capture Harry. Really, he could have just mailed him a Portkey in disguise on the day that the Disapparating ban was lifted for the competition but that wouldnt have been such a good story!
But His Parents Never Recovered:
According to Rowling, Alice and Frank Longbottom were eventually moved to the incurable wing of St. Mungos Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries to continue treatment for their torture-induced insanity.
I know people really wanted some hope for that, and I can quite see why because, in a way, what happens to Nevilles parents is even worse than what happened to Harrys parents,she said. The damage that is done, in some cases with very dark magic, is done permanently.

Tom Riddle Hero Fiennes Tiffin/christian Coulson/frank Dillane
Young Voldemort has had a few actors over the years. The youngest iteration of Tom Riddle was played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin in Half-Blood Prince flashbacks. If that name sounds familiar its because Hero is actually the nephew of Voldemort actor Ralph Fiennes. Hero Fiennes Tiffin can most recently be seen as the lead in Hulus After, based on the best-selling book. Hell be reprising that role in the 2020 sequel After We Collided.
Diary!Tom Riddle in Chamber of Secrets was played by Christian Coulson . He made multiple television appearances over the years, including Gossip Girl, The Good Wife, and multi-episode arcs in The Good Wife and Mozart in the Jungle.
The Hogwarts-aged version of Tom Riddle in Half-Blood Prince was played by Frank Dillane. Dillane went on to star in Ron Howards whale blockbuster In the Heart of the Sea, as well as nabbing one of the lead roles in the Walking Dead spinoff show Fear the Walking Dead. Post Fear, Dillane has also had starring roles in three films, including How To Build A Girl alongside fellow Potter actress Emma Thompson.

They Became Godparents To Ron And Hermiones Children
The Golden Trio were each others best friends and closest confidantes. In the end, is really that big of a surprise that they would be godparents to each others children? In 2005, Harry and Ginny made Ron and Hermione godparents to James Sirius Potter. When Rose Granger-Weasley was born a year later, Ron and Hermione returned the favor. Presumably, they were godparents to each others children in order to make sure that the children all ended up in the same home should the worst happen.
This was just a capper to show the bond that the Golden Trio and Ginny share.
The worst did not happen, but its good to know that they are bound as family.

Why Did Harry Potter Change Directors Throughout The Series
While the Harry Potter reunion left many viewers with a warm, fuzzy feeling, it also raised some questions about the franchise.

The Secret Keeper Problem
When Lily and James Potter were forced to go into hiding during the First Wizarding War, their fatal mistake was their choice of Secret Keeper. The Secret Keeper is one who becomes the living embodiment of a secret after they are told, no one else can pass on the secret they hold, not even those who gave it to them. A dwelling protected by the Fidelus Charm in this way becomes absolutely hidden, keeping the occupants safe. Lily and James Potter chose their friend Peter Pettigrew, who betrayed them to Voldemort. It was this mistake that cost them their lives, and which set in motion the events of the Harry Potter series. However, it should have been possible for one of the couple to become Secret Keeper for them both, which would have left Pettigrew out of it and kept them safe. So why did they choose a third?
From a practical perspective, this plot hole exists because if Lily or James had been a Secret Keeper, they would have survived, wizarding history would have been entirely different, and we wouldnt have the books! This would also be the problem with designating Dumbledore or Remus as Secret Keeper the secret needed to be betrayed for the plot to work. But within the fiction itself, there seems to be no reason that Lily and James couldnt have held the secret themselves, and lived to raise Harry happily.
Her First Boyfriend Michael Corner
Do we even have to talk about how bland and uninteresting Ginny’s first boyfriend, Michael Corner, is? Ginny always seemed to desire excitement and danger, something different, so why exactly did she end up with Michael Corner in the first place? It doesn’t seem like the kind of boy she’d have a crush on, at all. Maybe this relationship only meant to showcase that people from different houses could date. Seems like a waste of Ginny’s time.

They Got Back Together
Harry and Ginny broke up at the end of The Half-Blood Prince after only a couple months of dating. It was a choice made in order to protect Ginny from targeting from the Death Eaters following Dumbledores defeat. Who knows how much good it did her, seeing as she got a target on her back all the same. Even so, the pair were actually broken up during the Battle of Hogwarts. This means that they didnt get back together until after the war ended.
Its unknown when or how they got together, but it was likely between 1998 and 2000.
They could barely stand being parted during The Deathly Hallows so that could indicate a relatively quick reunion.

Aragog in his youth at Hogwarts
In 1943, Tom Marvolo Riddle, a descendant of Salazar Slytherin who would later become Lord Voldemort, opened the Chamber of Secrets and unleashed the resident monster, Basilisk, upon the castle to exterminate its Muggle-born population, those who were “unworthy” to study magic. Aragog was framed as being the monster and Hagrid was accused of being Slytherin’s heir. Several students were petrified in the school after the monster were unleashed. But when one of its victims, Moaning Myrtle, died in a bathroom, it motivated the school’s governors to consider closing the school. Tom, who considered Hogwarts his only home, found out about Aragog after discovering the young Hagrid tending to the Acromantula, and used Aragog as a scapegoat for the monster’s rampage. Tom came to capture the creature, but Hagrid helped Aragog escape to the Forbidden Forest. Hagrid was later punished with expulsion from the school. Aragog, meanwhile, had to live alone in the Forest.
Hagrid, though expelled, was assigned the position of Gamekeeper at Hogwarts, by the intervention of Albus Dumbledore, thus allowing him to stay in contact with Aragog. Hagrid would visit Aragog now and then, bringing him food. On one particular visit, Hagrid brought Aragog a wife, Mosag, another Acromantula. The two Acromantulas started a large colony. Sometime later, Aragog became blind.

Who Does The Elder Wand Really Belong To
The provenance of the Elder Wand is a long and complicated one, and the question of its true master is a key component of the books but leaves us with some questions. In recent history, the wand belonged to Gregorovitch , but was stolen by Grindlewald. Grindlewald was then defeated by Dumbledore in a duel, and Dumbledore kept the wand until he was killed. Although Snape killed Dumbledore, Dumbledore was disarmed by Draco Malfoy, leading to some confusion over who the true master of the wand would be. Voldemort thought it would be Snape, and killed him to try and become its master himself,. In reality, the wand actually belonged to Malfoy, who was disarmed by Harry, leaving The Chosen One the master of the wand at the end of the series.

We all know about Ginny’s embarrassment when she sees Harry, back in Chamber Of Secrets. In fact, every time she ever came in contact with him, she could hardly get a word out, due to the massive crush she had on him ever since a young girl. She would definitely, definitely go back, and she would want to graduate, Rowling explained during an interview with PotterCast. She went with Ron and Harry because she has a really good heart. Thats not about brain. Ultimately, she had a bigger heart than she had a brain, and thats saying something for Hermione. But was she naturally drawn to battle?
